I normally do not leave reviews like this, but after everything I’ve dealt with over the last few weeks, people need to know exactly what kind of dealership Seasell Auto is running. I purchased a 202 everything I’ve dealt with over the last few weeks, people need to know exactly what kind of dealership Seasell Auto is running. I purchased a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Seasell Auto and put $15,000 DOWN on the vehicle. Less than TWO WEEKS after purchase, I took it to get an alignment because the Jeep was not driving correctly. That shop immediately told me they could NOT even perform the alignment because the tie rods were so bad that the vehicle had steering/suspension safety issues. I then took it to a SECOND shop for another opinion. SAME RESULT. Both shops stated this was NOT sudden damage and was 100% a PRE-EXISTING ISSUE. Both shops said there is absolutely no way this issue just happened overnight and one of the mechanics specifically stated he was confused how the Jeep was even sold because it would not have passed inspection in that condition. Today I took the Jeep in expecting to move forward with fixing the tie rods because I did not want to make the issue worse or continue risking my safety or my children’s safety driving it. Instead, after a further inspection, the shop found MULTIPLE additional safety-related and mechanical defects including: • Steering/tie rod concerns • Suspension issues • Major vibrations while driving • Excessive engine movement caused by a cracked motor mount • The engine physically rocking excessively under load • Leaking from the engine oil cooler housing • Additional wear/issues that clearly did not happen overnight At that point I chose NOT to move forward with repairs because NONE of this should be my responsibility less than two weeks after purchasing a vehicle. This goes far beyond normal wear and tear. So let’s recap: • $15,000 down payment • $2,490 warranty purchased • Immediate steering/suspension problems • Unsafe tie rod condition • Multiple shops confirming pre-existing issues • Cracked motor mount causing excessive engine movement • Major vibrations while driving • Suspension and engine-related issues • Engine oil cooler housing leak • Premature tire wear from how badly the vehicle drives • Vehicle tied to prior accident history • Thousands in additional repairs almost immediately after purchase And before anyone says “well it was sold AS-IS” … North Carolina law does NOT allow dealerships to knowingly sell unsafe vehicles that cannot pass inspection. “AS-IS” does not magically excuse selling vehicles with serious safety defects. The most frustrating part is I IMMEDIATELY notified Blake at Seasell Auto the second the first shop found the issue. I provided documentation from TWO separate shops, videos, quotes, and findings. I tried to handle this professionally and privately. Instead of doing the right thing, they: • Tried to push me toward Market Street Tire & Auto despite their horrific customer reviews • Refused to properly swap the vehicle • Tried to structure it as a TRADE where I would absorb THOUSANDS more in negative equity for THEIR pre-existing problem • Refused to tell me who inspected the Jeep before sale, giving me the vague response: “We use like 4 or 5 different places” • Downplayed the issue entirely by claiming “a tie rod is around $300 to replace” Now after further inspections, we know it was FAR more than “just a $300 tie rod.” What also raised major red flags for me is that the VERY DAY I brought the Jeep home, my daughter’s friend saw the Seasell sticker on the back and immediately said she bought her car there too….and within ONE WEEK of purchasing HER vehicle she also had tie rod issues. Crazy coincidence. It honestly starts to feel like there is some kind of setup between Seasell Auto and Market Street Tire & Auto because Blake continuously pushed me to take the vehicle there specifically, despite multiple other shops already confirming the exact same problems. All of my review won’t fit on here so I’ll post the rest in another post or upload pics. More

Seasell has it on their lot for $4,280.Big jump from a $ 800.00 dollar trade! Best I can advise anyone is Buyer Beware of Seasell auto dealership. More
I have copy and pasted this review myself from google reviews. This is not a fake review even if the dealership tries to say it is. Where to even start with this awful experience....I purchased a car reviews. This is not a fake review even if the dealership tries to say it is. Where to even start with this awful experience....I purchased a car from Blake 9 days ago. At the time of purchase, the tire light was on. I brought this to Blakes attention and expressed my concern for this as he had no inspection to show me. All he had was his word that it was taken in somewhere to be looked at before selling to me and that car tire lights come on for other reasons and he is sure it’s nothing. I figured I would give him the benefit of the doubt and trust him. That was very much the wrong thing to do. A few days later and the light comes back on. I take it in and surprise, there are multiple leaks on multiple tires and they need to be replaced. I then get my quote and take it back to Seasell to give them the chance to make it right. Blake was not in, so I called and texted. No response. I waited another 30 minutes. Still nothing. I leave my name and number with someone else to call me back. After I didn't hear back I called the shop again and was told Blake was still not in. After this, any time I called (multiple times) Blake or the shop I was sent straight to voicemail. Then Blake finally gets back with me. The call went how you would expect it to. Giving me the run around and trying to get out of doing what is right. The phone call ends when Blake tells me to call HIS recommended shop to price new tires and I say okay. I call and make the appointment. I text Blake that and he comes back with telling me he will only cover $200.00. His word does not mean anything. And yet again, he is unreachable. There is right and wrong, and this is plain wrong. If you look at this shops other 1 star reviews you will see the same kind of issue I am having. He is unreachable the second something is wrong. And he will respond to other bad reviews claiming they are fake or arguing against the bad review. Why not just make it right? I can assure this is is not fake, and I have given them a chance. They are being horrible about this entire situation, therefore the new review. I can only hope they will do what is right and replace these tires with new ones. Update: After speaking with Blake again after I left the original portion of this review and doing everything Blake asked of me, he is refusing to fix it. Not only that but he started lying and saying things I never did or said. And then threatened to get the police involved. Why? For doing everything he asked of me? As soon as I had proof for the need for tire replacement from the shop he wanted, he was out. Didn’t want to fix it. He said I only wanted it “my way” after I brought him his proof from his shop that he asked for. He told me the only way he was helping me is if a deleted this review. I refuse to delete the truth because of his bad business practices. Unfortunately, I really wanted to give them the chance to make it right. But now other steps have to be taken and I truly hate that. I am sure he will be under the review soon enough saying I’m lying, saying I made a scene, saying I was being difficult. Whatever the case may be, just know his attempt to discredit the truth of my review…doesn’t mean it isn’t the truth. If you’re wondering why this dealership has so many 5 star reviews, it’s because they ASK FOR THEM. When I originally bought the car he asked me more than once if I would leave a 5 star review. And when you give an honest review for something that needs to be made right they immediately ask for the review to be deleted. I think any person could see why there are so many red flags within this business and why you should just look somewhere else. More
Seasell was recommended to me y a co-worker,staff was easy to work with, no pressure let explore and test drive any vehicle. I ended up choosing a 2020 Dodge Durango. What I love most about them is that easy to work with, no pressure let explore and test drive any vehicle. I ended up choosing a 2020 Dodge Durango. What I love most about them is that I don't buy any car without my mechanic signing off first. They were fine with it. My mechanic signed off it. Great purchase! More
I bought a 2016 Audi Q5 from Seasell on 5/10/2024. Blake told us the car had no issues, 120 pt inspection was good, no problems detected and the car was in great shape. I paid for the car in full wit Blake told us the car had no issues, 120 pt inspection was good, no problems detected and the car was in great shape. I paid for the car in full with a bank check in the amount of $14,293.97. Within a week, the check engine light came on and I was having to constantly add oil. I took the car to my local mechanic— Yaupon Service Center. They said the problem was internal and had to be fixed by Audi. I tried reaching Blake by phone, left him multiple messages that were not returned. Finally, I was able to speak with a Seasell employee who told me there is a class action lawsuit against Audi due to oil consumption, and Audi should fix the problem. I had the car towed to Audi in Wilmington. They say the car needs a new cylinder head, new tires and brakes, front axel shaft, o-rings, and a lower wishbone control arm. They also said my car isn’t one of the cars covered by the class action lawsuit. The estimate to fix these issues is approximately $19,000. Blake told me the tires and brakes had 60% life left, but Audi says the front and back brakes need to be replaced and the back brakes are metal on metal they are so bad. I went back to Seasell to talk to Blake. He denied getting any of my messages. He then said he doesn’t even usually sell Audi’s because they have so many problems. He said he even sold it to me for $3,000 less than the Kelly blue book value. He never said any of this when I bought the car. I never would have bought it if he had. He said there wasn’t anything he could do for me, that Audi overcharges for repairs and all he could do was recommend someone who could rebuild the engine. I went back to Audi and spoke with a service manager who told me the parts in my engine were so damaged that this was clearly not a new problem and it was possible that the check engine light was cleared, without addressing the problem, in order to sell the car. My car is still at the Audi dealership and I have been left without transportation. I feel completely deceived by Blake and Seasell Auto. It is not ok for individuals like him to take advantage of consumers, and their deceptive practices should be exposed. More
