While my visit to Balise Hyundai and my interaction with the salesperson, Wahab, was pleasant, the unexpected bill that came afterwards was not. After discussing the down I would contribute, lease mileage, & monthly payments, I explicitly asked if I should expect any other taxes, fees or costs after signing on the dotted line. I was told that state taxes & other costs like registration were rolled into the monthly payments and that I would only have to pay one additional “turn-in fee” at the end of our lease if we don’t end up purchasing the vehicle – nothing else would be added on as a cost, except for the protection plan I opted into afterwards.
Little did I know, a few months later I would be sent a hefty bill from Hyundai Motor Finance with a Massachusetts property tax assessment added to my account. Please be weary when you hear that all taxes are rolled into the monthly payment…because it is NOT! I am now being told that I’m responsible for an additional cost that was snuck onto the contact despite being told by the sales team that my amount was final. The dealerships sneakily pass on these state property taxes to lease customers (look at the additional pages you initial past the main page of the Lease Agreement because it’s not listed on the breakdown there) – they don’t tell you that and won’t say it’s part of the final cost, even if you ask. After feeling like I had a positive experience at Balise, I’m quite disappointed. Lease customers beware.
Wheel Install and Alignment Service - 2013AudiA4
After getting a few quotes, I found Torrington Hyundai had competitive pricing on getting new wheels, installing them and performing a wheel alignment, so I decided to go there. I went for a 1pm afternoon appointment, they got me right in and lifted the car to do the service. I brought work with me since it was in the middle of the say and was able to work while my car was worked on. Connected to wifi very easily, and the service waiting room was quiet, clean, had TV and water to make a comfortable experience. Larry was helpful with letting me know it would be a couple hours and they held to that. The appointment was 2 hours and they didn't run late.

I bought my car in for a recall, asked if they could check why my car was hesitating. As I thought he asks the mechanic, mike did not. I got my car back from recall he never asked a mechanic to look and than told me i would have to leave my car for two days and pay for a diagnostic’s. No thank you. I took my car to another Hyundai dealership fixed it with the hour free of charge at Old Saybrook Hyundai.
