Let me start off by saying I hate car dealerships and the entire process of finding a car and negotiating on prices. After a couple hours at this dealership, my wife and I both said it was the best experience we've ever had shopping for a new car. Our sales person was Bruce Levine and he was patience, understanding and made us feel comfortable the entire time. When my wife's car is ready to be replaced in a couple years, we'll head right back to Bruce at Sunrise.

Of the 20 or so dealerships I have purchased/lead from over the past 3 decades, I have to rate Colonia Toyota at the top of my list for several reasons:
a. Being the largest dealership in CT, their pricing can't be beat. No other dealership could match their offers.
b. Showroom is immaculate and customer friendly.
c. NO high pressure tactics, which is a rarity in this business. They do not browbeat you or try to upsell you things you don't need.
d. Friendly and courteous.
e. Responsive. When they say they will email or call you back at a certain time, they live up to their promise.
Overall, my experience with this dealership is nothing short of outstanding and I will continue to do business with them every time my Toyota lease comes up for renewal.
p.s. Our sales rep, Nick Shala, was courteous, pleasant, diligent, responsive and, most importantly, completely transparent with my wife and I throughout the entire transaction. When it comes time to dishing out salary increases and bonuses, I sure hope that management takes care of him financially and recognizes his level of contribution toward building and maintaining customer loyalty. We are very pleased with the level of service that we received from Mr Shala. 10 out of 10!

I asked him if he could get me more information on a new or used Toyota Tacoma, and by 1 PM Saturday May 9th, I already had a new 2020 Toyota Tacoma in my driveway. Burton Jean took his time in showing me 2 different vehicles with different options. He was very thorough in explaining the vehicles to me. He is very polite and informative. I went to Middletown Toyota and was met by Matthew, a General Manager, who ultimately steered me in the direction of my new (used) car!! I also worked with Liam, great guy - totally down to earth and entertaining! I found a fantastic 4Runner Limited with low miles. I got a great price and the truck has more options that I was even looking for. Toyota is awesome and this experience was awesome. I never felt that typical sales pressure (sorry guys but it can be true), I even got some extras when I asked! I will be going back to help my son get Toyota soon!

I had leased a vehicle from thei dealer in 2017. Unfortunately the lease did go full term due to an accident that totaled the car. But I went back to buy a relatively new used car. I saw a Corolla which I liked and although the price was a bit over my budget, they dropped a few dollars. The next three things I wioll talk about are major issues. The web site allows you to estimate your trade in value. I had a 2005 6 cyl Camry in real good condition. I had just had all mechanical issues correceted (there weren't that many).The web site said the car was worth a minimum of $1428 and a maximum of $2099. After dropping the price on the car purchase I was then offered $1000 for my trade in. When I showed them the minimum $1428...the still gave ne a paltry $1500. Second I was told Toyota was running a special on financing. It was 1.9%...even with a FICO score as low as 660. When they ran my credit they were impressed with my 780 score...and gave me the "good" rate of 6.5%. When I said I was probably going to pay it off early, I asked if I could without penalty. I was told I would have to pay between 3 and 6 months to not be penalized. When I got the first billing statement I called Toyota Financial who promptly told me I could pay off the entire load immediately. I did so. The last issue although not real serious I found funny. I was familiar with the Corolla radio but was unsure how to do a certain feature. My sales person at delivery when i asked how to do it, said he did not even know what the feature was. When I showwed him, he said he knew nothiong about it. As I said bought the car regardless...Did not get best price but I know they have to make a buck also....

My father went to purchase a car, went through the financing and was told by the sales rep that she would call the next day to go over the purchase. He received no call back. He then called the sales manager, Jose, who also said he would call him back and he didn’t as well. From a person in customer service who services high net worth clients, this is extremely unprofessional. We will not recommended others to purchase a car.

He took each of my concerns into consideration and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Jose made sure it was possible for me to get the car I wanted. I had many problems with my payments, credit and was really struggling to get the down payment amount. These guys went so out of their way to make it happen! Seriously the best service I ever had. Not only did they help me financially make things happen, they also were just genuinely some of the nicest people! James was very kind and consoling when I was stressed and upset about money. My husband and I traveled to CT from Maine to find a 3 year old, prior leased RAV 4, as used cars in northern Maine have rust issues because of the intensive salt on the roads. We were shocked by the additional fees charged by the dealers we visited in CT. We looked on line and saw the huge selection of prior leases that New Rochelle Toyota had, and no fees! Even though it was an hour ride on a good day, we took a ride, and happy we did. Mario Diana greeted us when we arrived and was very personable and great to work with. He explained to us that at this dealership there were no additional fees except for $75. We also received the internet discount. We informed Mario that we were paying cash and Mario researched where the closest branch of our bank was, and called our insurance company, so we could take the car that day. We chose to return the next day to pick up the car as we were tired. Mario cheerfully greeted us when we returned and introduced us to several other employees, while we waited for the paperwork to be completed. We drove the 420 miles back to northern Maine the next day and we are very happy with the car.
