My experience with Koeppel Subaru was nice, I mainly worked with Jordan (Sales) and Jose in the finance department both were very pleasant and easy to approach. Jordan was very honest and adamant about providing correct information when questioned about specs and features on the car. He did a great job assisting me with the process of obtaining auto insurance and gave me confidence with this being my first dealership purchase. Jordan has also been very responsive to my calls, questions, and concerns, even after my purchase. Jose was a treasure, with the patience you'd expect a great dad to have, he explained EVERYTHING twice or more if necessary with a genuine desire to make sure you understand the given information. I am very thankful for that. Jose was also very patient, he did not rush my contract reading or questioning process. I too believe he was transparent in his manner of business, and did not try to upsell me on unnecessary packages. Jose was very knowledgeable, and visibly takes his work very seriously. I am the owner of a 2016 Subaru Forester. In my opinion, the customer service at East Hill Subaru was among-st the WORST I have ever experienced. When I dropped my car off for the state inspection and Subaru recall work, I was told that my breaks needed to be replaced. Consequently , I had to leave my Forester with them from May 18th to May 20th. When I returned to pick my car up, I noticed that there were a lot of scratches on the front bumper and yellow paint around the scratches (as if it was scratched against a yellow pole). When I informed East Hill Subaru, I was treated quite RUDELY and was told that "it happened because of you". They then proceeded to rub off the yellow paint from the bumper and repeated that the scratches may have happened beforehand.

Not a place to get your car serviced! Driving my car home after its oil change, I notice the hood was oddly bouncing around. Looking at it more carefully the next day, the hood had not been properly latched. Furthermore, after opening and closing several times - I could not get it to latch either. One of their employees was aware that the hood was not properly latched yet released the car to me. At any moment with a gust of wind or a bump on I-95 the hood could have suddenly released while I was driving 55 miles an hour plus. My life could have been at risk. I called my service rep who asked that I bring it in on Monday... Driving my Outback down I-95 (from exit 16 to exit 6) as the hood was bouncing up and down was frightening. I was quite upset knowing that a gust of wind or a bump in the road could cause the hood to fly up blocking my visibility. Their service department fixed the hood. The $39 oil change was credited back to me... Unfortunately my trust in Stamford Subaru has been gravely shaken. How could I return or recommend it given that an employee does not care enough to do their job right and then put my safety at risk?

I was hoping they were a brand new business because none of them know what theyre doing. But apparently theyve been open for a few years.
First they forgot to get copies of our licenses so we had to send them pictures, no big deal. On the way home from the dealership the traction control light came on the dash and it started shifting strange with the rpms jumping. Then the check engine light came on. All on the way home from the dealership. Not such a big deal, they told us to bring it back so they can fix it. We brought it back, they got the lights to go off, then a half hour after leaving the traction control light came on and it started shifting weird again. At this point the owner starts telling us that we have to call the bank and tell them the car is running good so he could get his money from them, we didnt wanna give the bank false information so we waited until it was running good to call them . The owner said it couldn't wait and we had to call them right away otherwise we would lose our down payment and have to bring The vehicle back, I called the bank and asked them if that was true, they said thats not true. They said they could wait until its fixed. The vehicle is under warranty but we didnt trust them to fix it at that point. So we brought it to a local garage and paid to get it fixed. They did it with no problem. Owner was supposed to reimburse us but that hasn't happened. Then we realize its past due for an oil change. Had to go pay for that as well. While getting the oil change at a local shop I asked to to look it over and let me know if they think it will pass an inspection. They found a coolant leak and an oil leak, then showed me the inside of the tires were worn down to the metal so theres no way it would pass. All laws say that vehicles have to be sold with good tires. We put 2,500 down and will be paying for it for the next 4 years, we trusted that it would be good enough to pass inspection. I asked the owner if he would get us good tires and he wanted to wait until the bank approved the loan. 3 days before our temporary plate expired they contacted us amd said the bank still needed more information. We gave them what they needed but didn't get a response until the day that our tag expired. Now its been a week since the bank approved the loan and the dealership still hasn't processed our registration or provided us with a license plate. The owner doesn't wanna talk about the tires, and we just got a letter from the bank saying they still didn't get proof of our licenses. After we gave them our licenses to copy in person, then sent them pictures of our licenses They still haven't sent it to the bank. Owner and employees are incompetent and disrespectful. We have bought enough vehicles in the past to know that something is seriously wrong with this place. As a father with 3 kids I truly wish I wouldve went somewhere else and I wouldn't want to see anyone go through this. The owner also told me this is just one deal for him and really doesnt matter to him anyway, he told me when its processed they won't be able to mail the license plate to me, ill have to drive 2 hours to go pick it up on bald tires. I'm really hoping he will replace the tires when we get there but he hasn't said that he will. He just avoids the question. I've literally never left a bad review on anything in my life but this is too much.

DO NOT GO THERE! I have used the subaru dealers at Englewood & Ramsey and ENGLEWOOD IS THE WORST! They have twice screwed up my cars while performing service and both times I had to take it somewhere else and pay several hundred dollars to get it fixed! Englewood even once broke a bolt and tried to make me pay for it.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DRIVE TO ORANGETOWN OR RAMSEY OR EMERSON BUT DO NOT GO TO ENGLEWOOD!!!

Great people, horrible experience though.
After negotiating and having a great time talking with the staff, everything went downhill.. the numbers we were promised were no where close to what our contract said. The poor finance guy was the last to meet us at 8pm after everyone else was done for the day but they had taken forever to complete our paperwork (we had sent in all our paperwork since 8am, prior to getting there). We finally get the agreement and the poor guy can’t explain anything because the sales ppl gave us all the wrong information and he was stuck giving us the bad news that the numbers promised were all BS because no one calculated anything correctly.
At this point we had waited forever, and decided to take the car and take the higher monthly bill, as we were so done with our horrible experience.
But it gets better..
After 4 and a half months, I am finally getting my registration and plates. How does no one have the answer as to why it hadn’t been processed? How come I had to call millions of times and keep getting the run around.

Terrible service department... Brought my 2015 Forester in because remote start(which they installed) wasn't working.. 7:30 a.m. appointment only to be called at the end of the day to be told the car battery was weak and they needed to keep it overnight to replace it(Overnight to replace a car battery). Picked up next day and was charged $150 for the battery and $80 to install it!!!! $230 for a $60 battery... Needless to say the battery wasn't the problem and I had to call and tell them it still would not remote start. Was told to bring it in next Tuesday(not right away which would have been good customer service) Dropped it off at 8 this morning and was promptly called at 8:20 to say that the "A" tech needed to look at it and he was backed up so the car would need to stay overnight... again... Must be nice to know at 8:20 that you won't be able to fix a car you should have fixed right the first time... Once again, good customer service would have been to push me to the front of the line... Then they called me back 5 minutes later to say I needed to come back with the second remote.. I tried to explain that the remote wasn't the problem.. the car received the signal but would not turn over... After getting totally fed up I hung up, went back and picked up the car and vowed never to return.. Wish I could give less stars!! Avoid Lynne's at all costs!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately this is my second time using their services. They are wonderful. They try and make a terrible situation into a better one as much as they can. They are helpful from the law aspect, to rental to loaner and of course their expertise - the car. Yes sometimes they are difficult to reach but it is worth the trade off in the end. I highly recommend them for their expertise as well as their personalities. A+ to Yossi and Zach and your staff.
