When I first came here back in 2016, everyone was rude & unprofessional and decided to never come back. But because of convenience, i decided to go back and noticed the changed of staffs. Once the new staffs came in, everything & everyone was great! Kim and front desk are very professional & friendly. They are definitely a keeper!
Don't come here - Waydgra
This place is the worst. Took them 2 months to fix my horn after they told me they fixed it initially after 1 week but still didn't work when I picked it up. I would call for updates periodically, calls wouldn't get returned. Manager Ray Maldonado stepped in after a poor Yelp review (they had 1 star and lived up to it). Promised my car would be ready by a certain date, that didn't happen and when I followed up with him via email and call, never heard from him again. Finally a second manager stepped in as to why I wasn't getting answers and why repair was taking so long. If I didn't have a warranty we'd be in court right now cause there was no way I was paying $3k for a job I paid for already and they told me was done after a week. Poor communication by staff. They finger point when stuff does not get done and will find an excuse.
horrible. - unsatisfied customer
Horrible place to buy a car.
I was hoping they were a brand new business because none of them know what theyre doing. But apparently theyve been open for a few years.
First they forgot to get copies of our licenses so we had to send them pictures, no big deal. On the way home from the dealership the traction control light came on the dash and it started shifting strange with the rpms jumping. Then the check engine light came on. All on the way home from the dealership. Not such a big deal, they told us to bring it back so they can fix it. We brought it back, they got the lights to go off, then a half hour after leaving the traction control light came on and it started shifting weird again. At this point the owner starts telling us that we have to call the bank and tell them the car is running good so he could get his money from them, we didnt wanna give the bank false information so we waited until it was running good to call them . The owner said it couldn't wait and we had to call them right away otherwise we would lose our down payment and have to bring The vehicle back, I called the bank and asked them if that was true, they said thats not true. They said they could wait until its fixed. The vehicle is under warranty but we didnt trust them to fix it at that point. So we brought it to a local garage and paid to get it fixed. They did it with no problem. Owner was supposed to reimburse us but that hasn't happened. Then we realize its past due for an oil change. Had to go pay for that as well. While getting the oil change at a local shop I asked to to look it over and let me know if they think it will pass an inspection. They found a coolant leak and an oil leak, then showed me the inside of the tires were worn down to the metal so theres no way it would pass. All laws say that vehicles have to be sold with good tires. We put 2,500 down and will be paying for it for the next 4 years, we trusted that it would be good enough to pass inspection. I asked the owner if he would get us good tires and he wanted to wait until the bank approved the loan. 3 days before our temporary plate expired they contacted us amd said the bank still needed more information. We gave them what they needed but didn't get a response until the day that our tag expired. Now its been a week since the bank approved the loan and the dealership still hasn't processed our registration or provided us with a license plate. The owner doesn't wanna talk about the tires, and we just got a letter from the bank saying they still didn't get proof of our licenses. After we gave them our licenses to copy in person, then sent them pictures of our licenses They still haven't sent it to the bank. Owner and employees are incompetent and disrespectful. We have bought enough vehicles in the past to know that something is seriously wrong with this place. As a father with 3 kids I truly wish I wouldve went somewhere else and I wouldn't want to see anyone go through this. The owner also told me this is just one deal for him and really doesnt matter to him anyway, he told me when its processed they won't be able to mail the license plate to me, ill have to drive 2 hours to go pick it up on bald tires. I'm really hoping he will replace the tires when we get there but he hasn't said that he will. He just avoids the question. I've literally never left a bad review on anything in my life but this is too much.

I purchased a 2013 Jetta TDI Diesel from Shawn Baron. I have all the routine service work done for the first 70,000 miles. That included the DSG transmission service at 40,000 miles. I knew there was something wrong with the car because my mpg went way down. I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
At 80,000 I decided to do the DSG Transmission myself. The capacity should be 4 1/2 quarts of fluid.
I had a friend with me when I drained The DSG transmission. I got 9 quarts out of it!!!! They probably never drained the original transmission fluid and added another 4 1/2 quarts. after I did my own service the car started driving well again and my fuel economy went back up.
I was surprised that they did not blow my transmission due to their negligence! I called the service manager Melvin Ramos and asked who was the xxxxxx who put 9 quarts of transmission fluid in my car?
He said he would follow up and get back to me. He never did
The next time I came back to the service department for warranty work I produced the 5 gallon bucket with a 9 quarts of transmission fluid in it. The new xxxxxxx in the service department tried to suggest that I could’ve just put any oil in that bucket!!!! I told him that I had notified Melville Ramos at the time. And that he was supposed to follow up and did not.
So this xxxxxxx basically accused me of trying to perpetrate a fraud! I am mediately asked to speak to the general manager four times that day. They made excuses and said he wasn’t available.
This is a den of vipers and they should never be trusted by anyone! they are absolute low class people.

Open Road VW charged more than twice what other dealers... - Benzie#1
Open Road VW charged more than twice what other dealers charge for a simple 10k service for a JTI. Boycott this dealer who hides behind Manhattan as a reason to charge a young man more than twice what Queensboro VW charges. Customers should know that in a pandemic you don’t pick off customers.

I took my leased 2019 Jetta for an oil change. Less than a week later, My car would not start with remote starter and it worked fine prior to oil change. I called to schedule an appointment but they were closed due to holiday so I left a message. No one returned my call, so I called back and had an appointment scheduled. When I went back, I waited over an hour and a half. I was told there was a problem with thermostat. I was told to schedule an appointment. No one informed of warranty coverage, loaner etc. I had to ask all the questions. I was told they didn’t have a loaner at time so I couldn’t schedule an appointment because I needed transportation. I asked when will a loaner be available and was told maybe in a couple of days. They would put me on a list. The following day I asked to speak with someone in service around 3 pm and was told there’s only one person and he’s assisting a customer so I asked to speak with GM. She wasn’t available so I left a message. The receptionist got back to me and said oh we have a loaner for you now. I asked if he checked with service to make sure they have parts, etc. He said I thought they called you and puts me on hold. The following day I drop off car and they ask me for my drivers license, insurance card and credit card as if I’m renting. No one informed me their loaner procedure required a credit card deposit of $500. I began to ask questions and informed them of their lack of communication and handling a loaner as a car rental. They mentioned the $500 deposit is if I have an accident. I told them that is what my insurance is for. They produce a rental contract with daily charges, mile charges so I refused to sign unless they removed which they crossed out but held $500 on my card. I’ve been with Gessinger for 8 years. This is my 3rd lease. I’ve never given them a problem and have done my oil changes only with them. One of my reasons for leasing is so I don’t have to deal with mechanical issues. I’ve had this car for under 2 years and it has 20,000 miles. The car is covered under warranty. Their lack of urgency to take care of issues did not sit well with me especially when something like this could have turn into something worse like car overheating and leakage. The other thing I didn’t appreciate is them trying to charge me for a loaner. The warranty not only covers repairs and labor but the manufacturer also reimburses them for rental and loaners. They have a built in Car Rental LLC into their dealership where they are charging customers while being reimbursed by manufacturers. Sounds like a scam. I understand charging customers with no warranty but not someone who has a warranty and the dealership is being reimbursed for by manufacturer. I have been with them for 8 years and have never given them a problem. I don’t even complain when they don’t have my car wash after service like other dealership do as a courtesy. My lease is up next year and it’s not looking promising. I do not appreciate how this matter was addressed. You would think they would want to keep customers like me. Well, to be continued. I have to pick up my car later and I am seriously hoping they do what is right, remove the $500 deposit and that I have no further problems with them especially legal. I am trying to avoid that but I have to exercise my rights.

Great people, horrible experience though.
After negotiating and having a great time talking with the staff, everything went downhill.. the numbers we were promised were no where close to what our contract said. The poor finance guy was the last to meet us at 8pm after everyone else was done for the day but they had taken forever to complete our paperwork (we had sent in all our paperwork since 8am, prior to getting there). We finally get the agreement and the poor guy can’t explain anything because the sales ppl gave us all the wrong information and he was stuck giving us the bad news that the numbers promised were all BS because no one calculated anything correctly.
At this point we had waited forever, and decided to take the car and take the higher monthly bill, as we were so done with our horrible experience.
But it gets better..
After 4 and a half months, I am finally getting my registration and plates. How does no one have the answer as to why it hadn’t been processed? How come I had to call millions of times and keep getting the run around.

Horrible experience on more then one occasion.
Two jettas 2019 2020 I use these cars for my driving school. so having my cars sitting around in service takes time and money away from me.
A lot of “I understand “ but the amount of smoke blown in one sentence is mind boggling. Took the car in for its 20k oil change. Brake work and the good ol transmission issues that has been lingering since I first purchased my 2019 Jetta. My Jetta has been sitting there all day untouched with the excuse being that the transmission specialist wasn’t around.
What doesn’t that have to do with my breaks and oil change?
Kenny letter tells me that my scheduled appointment was to see a service advisor, not to get my car worked on. I don’t even know what that means. I picked up my car with no work done to it and here’s the kicker Kenny asks me if I wanted to set up another appointment. No thank you!
please, DO NOT take your car here. A lot of run arounds and excuses with nothing getting done.

Unfortunately this is my second time using their services. They are wonderful. They try and make a terrible situation into a better one as much as they can. They are helpful from the law aspect, to rental to loaner and of course their expertise - the car. Yes sometimes they are difficult to reach but it is worth the trade off in the end. I highly recommend them for their expertise as well as their personalities. A+ to Yossi and Zach and your staff.
2015 Passat SEL service - Rohan B
My 2015 VW Passat SEL has 16,870 miles, in January 2018 I took the car in for service and Jerry Suarez assisted me. I returned again in April 2018 and was again assisted by Jerry Suarez. On both visits I am very satisfied with the work done and the manner which Jerry delivered the service. He kept me informed while waiting and just made the overall service experience above an beyond what I have received in the pass. I must say that I took my 2015 VM Passat to the other location where Jerry worked and I had the same satisfied experience. Kodos to Jerry for a consistent great service! Have a blessed day!
