Took car in for oil change and multi point inspection. Asked them to use a Teflon wrench on wheels when doing rotation. Was told don’t think they have that tool so I said don’t rotate. Picked vehicle up almost 8 hrs later only to notice immediately there was damage around lugs. Immediately brought it to their attention but they claim now that they didn’t do damage. Foreman stated they had to remove wheels to inspect brakes. I totally forgot that wheels needed to come
off to check brakes and rotators. Service Manager, tells me No they don’t need to remove wheels to inspect brakes. Although my report card says measured brake pads and has the actual MM measurement listed. How do you measure the thickness of pads without removing wheels? Report card also says they did a multi purpose inspection recommended by Ford and Lincoln Motor Companies but yet my washer fluid was low and not topped off and my engine coolant level was below minimum and not topped off and my tire pressure was never checked. QuestionIng what they checked and my safety now in this vehicle. So not only do I have damaged rims but also inadequate multi point inspection. Service manager stopped talking to me and is now only just contacting me via email to tell me they are not responsible for damage but are willing to repair. Their repair will not be back to the powder coating I currently have on my rims. Repair would be done in their parking lot. Offering to repair in my eyes is admitting guilt. What happened to making a customer whole again after damage that occurred while in their care, custody and control? Also noticed that 8 mos ago a review was posted by another customer who also had damaged wheels after he brought vehicle in for 2 tire change. This dealership and the GM replaced this customer’s wheels but will not do the same for me or even have my wheels re-powder coated. Doing for one is setting a precedence! People BEWARE of the service you receive from this dealer. I would recommend avoiding this dealer at all cost. Your safety matters.

I only deal with Haldeman in Kutztown, as I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I just bought a car, and the salesman, Nate, went over and above to help me. I'm totally pleased with him, AND the wonderful service I get when it's time for a "check-up" for my car. I also appreciate that I get a call telling what the expense will be before they do the work. H.L. Stephens is a rural dealership with no bells and whistles attatched. They are honest, and there is no stress attatched when purchasing a new vehicle. My wife and I have purchased 17 new cars in the last 29 years. We have been to countless dealerships, and never have we been more satisfied with the experience that H.L. Stephens gave us. They are more than competitive with price, too. Our last two vehicles purchased were from there. Our last vehicle, a 2012 Ford Explorer, we ordered over the phone, not having to show our trade in vehicle because she trusted us. This was convienent. Most dealerships waste my time, looking under the hood, and telling us how terrible our trade is. By the way, this purchase with trade difference was $8,300 cheaper than Coccia Ford in Plains, Pennsylvania, and we spent 2 hours there wasting my valuable time. Most other dealerships give you a song and dance routine that I don't appreciate. We can't believe H.L. Stephens is no longer going to be in business after 96 years. My thought is Ford Motor Co. has pushed them out.
