Corresponded with Sondra Zahn over three weeks, told her exactly my situation, negative equity amount in my car, the exact make, model of my car. She knew the most her dealer would put into the car, but she lead me to believe the actual dealer could do the loan. I wasted time, money, gas, gas mileage on my car coming to Frederick Md from Baltimore just for games and lies. They offered me lower than three other dealers for my car and did not want to give me the internet price of the saab I was looking at on their web site, they did not want to add the cash back rebates their web site listed, just one game after another. These people were very deceptive, they were laughing and smirking as my friend and I left.

I started looking for a new Saab in December 2011 when things were looking shaky for Saab Automobile. If it was going to be my last new Saab, I wanted to make sure it was the car I wanted - no compromises. A 9-3 Aero w/ a 6sp manual and a stick shift. I called several dealers nationwide, but the one which really stood out was International Motors in Falls Church, VA. Many of the other dealerships either didn't return my call, or the person I was talking to didn't even realize they had Saabs on the lot (at a Saab dealership, mind you). However, when I talked to Chris Lee, it was a completely different experience. I informed him of what I was looking for, he worked with me over the phone on a price, and when I told him "it would be a few weeks", there was no pressure, and that he'd be happy to talk to me about this car or any other one when the time came to buy.
After another few weeks of looking at other cars and arranging the finances, I called Chris back and arranged the final deal. This was done very professionally - so professionally, in fact, that I felt comfortable sending these guys a cashier's check for a car sight unseen.
When I arranged a flight out to the dealership to pick the car up, I was greeted by Chris at the door and given a thorough overview of the car and its features. Chris obviously knew the ins and outs of the car, and easily had more knowledge about Saabs than any other dealerships i'd purchased Saabs from in the past. Furthermore, once I arrived at the dealership, there were no surprises. Again with the professionalism - everything was exactly as discussed, the car was well cleaned and detailed, and I started my drive home. And my new 9-3 is everything I hoped it would be, and more!
After the sale, i had a slight issue regarding the door lock. Chris worked with me well beyond my expectations, and made sure I was a satisfied customer. Even though they are half-way across the country, I will be looking at Int'l Motors for my next car purchase.

VOB did not catch problems with the AC on a pre-inspection. They did not catch a major problem with the AC, despite our taking the car in and telling them to check the AC, that it was having a problem. The AC compressor subsequently exploded, they said it was a coincidence and charged us nearly $2,000 to repair it. Montgomery County Consumer Protection Agency agreed with VOB that it was a coincidence, just like the service manager told us, in advance, that they would. We don't think so, especially given the whole situation.
Now we are having problems with the starter that they replaced, at great expense to us, nearly $1,000.
To add further insult to injury, we also took the car, which is a convertible, to VOB because we had a minor leak during rain. We asked them to take a look and see if they could find the problem and fix it. Of course they did not find anything. During hurricane Irene, the car's interior was saturated by the rain.
That's 3 major strikes agains VOB, actually 4 strikes, if you count the fact that they found no problems on the pre-inspection.
We've spent about $3,000, more than half the cost of the used car originally, and we have to do it all over again. We got nothing for our money but rudeness, indifference, dissatisfaction - and more problems. Given the problems that we have had, we are not planning to take the car back to VOB again - EVER. They can't find problems, even when pointed out to them, and they can't fix them properly. We will be taking it to another mechanic and getting their assessment of the problems, at which point we will provide further updates.
