We found the car we had sought here. Internet. The salesman was great. The dealership's processes for internet buyers were not friendly. First the dealership would not hold a car, even with a deposit, over night. Second, after driving 3 hours to get to the dealership and not wanting to drive 3 hours home in the dark, the finance staff was so slow that we had to threaten to leave before anyone arranged for us to finish the DMV paperwork (the finance department) - and even then it took our salesman calling in a favor from the finance team at the Bill Kids Volvo dealership to get us out the door well after dark. The sales management team were not the least sympathetic to our situation. What a disappointment - the dealership knew for days we were coming and only the salesman appeared to appreciate our situation. We witnessed other customers leaving the dealership because of delays in meeting their needs. The bullpen where the sales managers sit, isolated, behind glass, seemed to say a lot to me about the experience we had. Bill Kidd would do well to go undercover and try to experience the dealership as an internet purchaser - it might lead to some process changes if the owner's heart is customer service first .... There are too many dealerships out there for me to put myself and my wife through another experience like this one. Two stars for salesperson's help.

The best dealer at least in Maryland if not nationwide. I have bought cars from at least a dozen other dealers in my life and by far.....and let me say again, BY FAR, the best dealer ever. They not only really take care of you and any problems or questions that you have with your new/used car but they go way way way out of their way to make things right. They don't nickel and dime you about everything. This is the first time that a dealer gave me a full tank of gas and an oil change on a used car that I purchased, I especially want to mention Tony Freeman, the used car manager. WOW, he is the best. Usually when you buy a used car and if you have problems with it even within a few days, it is your problem. But Tony, took care of every little problem like even getting me a new windshield wiper and when I had to leave my car in the repair shop he gave me a brand new loaner car free of charge. You do not get this kind of service and care even at a BMW dealer. If you are looking to buy a car and especially a used car, ask for Tony Freeman and his team. I would buy all my future cars from Fitzgerald and anyone i know I would recommend only Fitzgerald of Gaithersburg.

They often recommend maintenance procedures which are not recommended/ required by Toyota. Make sure that you have your maintenance guide with you when you go, so you can make sure that you only go for the services that are appropriate for the mileage interval your car is at.
They do offer a number of convenient pick up and drop off services, and the location is good for me, which is why I continue to use them.

I came in right on time for my scheduled appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I pulled in and the lane attendant took my information and said a Service Advisor would come and talk to me and directed me to the customer lounge. After 45 minutes of NO ONE coming to talk to me I went in to the lane to ask. I figured I’d start with the people socializing at the desk; there was my guy! He said the car would be another hour because the shop was backed up but he’d do what he could to make it faster - like he made it a point to come talk to me at all. I explained that I’m flexible with time, I just needed to know that what I needed done he was aware of and to get an update.
While I sat in the lounge I watched several customer service flops -
1. Talking to customers while walking away from them to get to something else...
2. oh, there’s a transmission issue... it’ll be another 2 hours... with no mention or concern for the customers time
3. Sales person complaining about a customer trade in lead

Three weeks ago, I received an email message telling me it was time to come into Antwerpen for service. I ignored it at the time because my car was serviced about 2,000 miles ago and the posted sticker indicates I should have at least another 3,000 miles. Then, ironically, the maintenance light came on a week after I received their email. So I signed up for an appointment for the recommended service in their system, which should have been complimentary as part of 25,000 mile care package, which they had honored during previous visits. After I followed the email instructions to schedule an appointment, they sent confirmation and reminder emails for the 25,000 mile service but never once mentioned that the recommended service is “closed in my account by Toyota” ...until I drove all the way up there and am sitting in front of Doug Hevener. He states that my care package has expired, which is confusing because the 20,000 mile service was performed AFTER the expiration date he claimed was in the Toyota system. Because my plan is to purchase a newer Corolla within the next month, I didn’t want to extend the care package plan when he proposed that as an option. I had only come in for whatever was needed to address the maintenance light and figured it would be worthwhile to have that last 25,000 mile service before trading in the car. Nonetheless, I’m baffled because, according to the sticker Antwerpen put in my car after the 20,000 mile service in November 2020, the car wouldn’t need to be serviced again until 26,000 miles. So why did the light come on right before the car hit 23,000 miles? I did the math, and it seems the technicians forgot to reset the signal at a previous visit. Nevertheless, the question that gets to the heart of my disappointment is: Why did Doug Hevener promptly escort me back to my car without offering any service options or next steps other than extending the care plan for 20,000 more miles? I was very clear that I plan to trade in the car soon, but I obviously wasn’t prepared to spend hours in the sales department at that very moment. Regardless of my care package coverage or intentions with the car, the maintenance light should not be on right now unless they neglected to resolve something at a previous visit. As a result of this experience and their disregard for my time and business, I won’t be visiting their sales department or returning to their dealership at all. I had great appreciation for this service department and was looking forward to getting a new car and continuing my business with this dealer for the long-term, but now I will make sure that my family full of Toyota / Lexus owners knows to avoid this place at all costs.

I didn't intend to buy a new car and trade in my old car that day, although I had already planned to switch to a Toyota RAV4 or a Subaru Outback. Leisurely driving by Darcars Toyota of Baltimore that afternoon, I then decided to drop by to "window shop". Jason made me feel a valued customer; he wasn't pushy (and was helpful during the trade and post-trade). The GM was willing to negotiate.
If you consider a Toyota, look for Jason Wood. He will take good care of you. I recommend him highly.
