Caused damage to my oil pan!!! - sunnycj
My car was taken to this dealership on 5/18/20 for a simple oil and filter change. They are not our regular dealership, which is over 2 hours away and we thought it would be easier to have it done there. During the oil change, my husband is told that the oil pan is leaking. I have a paved driveway and no oil leak on it before it was taken there and no evidence of an oil leak. Have Onstar and get reports monthly and no sign of any issues. He is then told that they can fix it temporarily, but he will probably have to come back and have the oil pan replaced at a cost of 800.00. He was charged 109.03 for this "service." He gets it home and checks it and it is leaking on the pavement and the smell of oil that has obviously burned off when he drove it home. He took it to our regular dealer this morning and the oil pan plug has been stripped. Our regular dealer fixed it for us and said the cost for a new oil pan for this car is 400.00 not 800.00. Needless to say, it could have been worse if we had let them do anything else to it, but you can be sure they will NEVER get anymore of our business and we will be reporting them to the Attorney General and the BBB. I had to give them a 1 star for it to show up and post this review, but I give them a 0 star review.
The service team and manager are horrible to work with.... - Simon C
The service team and manager are horrible to work with. They really don’t have any technical knowledge. When I took in my Chevy Volt that had a cabin heat issue one of the service guys said that there’s nothing they could do about it because the Chevy volt was designed to not run the AC or heat in ELectric driving mode. Hahaha
After trying to tell him that I’ve owned the car for a while and the heat and ac have always worked in electric driving mode he looked at me like I was crazy then told me that it was up to me if I wanted to spend $135 on a diagnostic that wasn’t needed.
Once the diagnostics were done I received a voicemail from the same service advisor. “We have found that your auxiliary coolant pump needs to be replaced, it’s going to be $720 total. Let me know if I should order the part”.
After doing some research I find that this is a common issue on the Chevy volts and it should be covered under the voltec warranty because it also pumps coolant into the battery to maintain battery temps in cold weather.
When I asked if it was going to be covered under warranty, they laughed. I asked to speak to the manager and he said that there was another pump for the battery (there isn’t , ive checked). So this pump would not be covered under voltec warranty. I asked if he could show me a diagram of the voltec coolant system and he proceeded to lie about a separate system to heat the battery. The started being rude and I was tired of dealing with their lack of knowledge on their own cars and decided to pay the $135 diagnostic fee. The part is $140 and it takes an hour to replace. ROBBERY!
If you have an electric or hybrid Chevy I recommend that you take your business elsewhere. These people don’t know anything about these cars and don’t want to learn about them.
If Chevy wants to be competitive in the EV age they have to make sure that their dealerships and service advisors are knowledgeable on the EV cars that they sell.
A irresponsible dealer only to get your money - felixlee
Purchased a used 2011 Ford Explorer from this dealer which is the worst car buying experience I ever had. Found rear brake pads completely worn out after drove back home. Then the battery died that night when I played with the radio. It is only a start. Got the brake pads and battery fixed then found the GPS is not functioning. Took this car to local Ford dealer to get the GPS fixed found all recalls of this car is still not fixed. In addition, the dealer also found the master cylinder and brake booster problems. To fix the master cylinder and booster would cost more than $900. I realized Boyd sold me a Lemon. I called Boyd and talked to Derik who is seemed like their used car sales supervisor. He at beginning sounded understandable and promised me to talk to the owner to see maybe they can help me somehow. Later on I knew this is a lie. Derik didn’t ever answer my calls and reply my message. Now, after I paid the full price of this car, I have to spend another $150 for replacing brake pad, $120 for replacing battery and $930 to fix the master cylinder and brake booster. This is another $1200 I have to pay right after I drove back the car from Boyd. This is not done. New issue arose when I went to DMV to get the car title transferred. On one section requires Buyer Signature is not signed and I have to send the title back to Boyd again to have them signed which will waste me another week and my temporary license is about to expired. Please be aware of this dealer! They are extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. They would let their customer drove away a car with completely worn out rear brake.
I will first never purchase another Ford’s car. I will also try my best to share my car buying experience from Boyd to as much people as I can.

I purchased a Toyota Corolla. From the time I stepped through the door of Jim Cook's I felt right at home with their welcoming atmosphere. The sales staff were helpful and proficient. Everything went smoothly with the sale and I love my new car. I would highly recommend them!
