I made my very first new vehicle purchase here at... - NISMO
I made my very first new vehicle purchase here at AutoNation Toyota Thornton, and my sales Max is definitely the best and the most professional sales I've deal with in any Toyota dealership.
As I mentioned since it's my first new car, I was being very picky on the car features, options, color, and the current mileage (even though they are all new, but some had well over 50 miles on them already). Max understands that and we walked in the parking lot going through them one by one just to make sure I'm getting the car that I want. I would go to him if I need anther Toyota in the future.
Meanwhile, the service department is terrible that I would recommend separating the reviews between the sales and service because the service is hurting the ratings for sure. I took my new car to the service center after 5k miles because I constantly smelled engine coolant. The service advisor tried to convince me that all new cars smells, so I explained new cars may have a little burning smell but definitely not engine coolant smell and certainly would not last over 5k miles.
He was so intimidated by my response and started arguing he's absolutely correct that he used to be a certified technician, and then he proceeded to twist open the coolant reservoir wanting to smell it.
Keep in mind for most of newer vehicles that the reservoir has integrated into part of engine coolant close-loop system, so in other words the reservoir is pressurized since the engine is still hot. I warned him not to open it but then again the service advisor had to act like he's always right, so he said the reservoir is fine and kept on twisting open the cap even though the cap had the same warning printed on it.
The outcome was, a jet stream of coolant mixed with air shoot out of the cap as soon as the cap was loose. That scared the crap out of the service advisor and he literally jumped, but a second later he put on a super fake grin face and told me "see it's totally fine."
I had a pretty good laugh so in a way I actually had to thank him for that, but for future service needs.....I think I'll pass.
