I have bought two Subaru's from Brad and my daughter has bought one from him in 2020. Brad is really good at helping to find what you need and very knowledgeable about Subaru's. It's a pleasure working with Brad basically like talking to an old friend about cars when I have been picking out a new car. With 63 years of driving and buying any number of new vehicles, I have had my share of less than favorable car buying experiences. Not so with Boardman Subaru in recently leasing a 2021 Forester. It was the most pleasant experience my wife and I have had at a dealership.
Boardman Subaru offers a professional and relaxed atmosphere in which all our questions were answered by our sales-person David Kuszaj. He answered a few we had not anticipated as he guided us through a first time leasing process. .
A fair price was given for our trade-in, and the entire process from selecting a vehicle, test driving, explaining the vehicle, the lease process and the financing was comfortable and direct. So, kudos to both the sales and finance teams.
We have had several follow-up emails from David regarding our satisfaction with the vehicle. We could not be more pleased with Boardman Subaru and our experience with them in our first-time leasing.

I was extremely satisfied with the way my purchase of a 2016 Nissan Rogue went with New Motors inc. I initially located the car on The Internet and made a trip to Erie for a test drive. Following the test drive we met with Kyle in sales and agreed upon the purchase. Within a couple hours the deal was done and I was on my way out of the showroom. Kyle delivered the car three days later.
After only having the car a couple of days there was a minor problem that developed. I contacted the service department and they made arrangements for me to come in the next morning. They took care of the issue and approximately 20 minutes later I was on my way again.

I would not trust this dealership. Just recently purchased a CPO Subaru from here. When going through the purchasing process everyone is nice and so helpful. However don’t let this fool you after driving away I realized two things first off I do not want the extended warranty on top of the CPO I purchased which they told me was no problem to cancel when I was in financing buying the car. I called the next couple day they were open in the finance manager said if I cancel the extended warranty my car is also no longer certified preowned. I called Subaru America they said that was incorrect I called back the dealership and said I talk to Subaru America and they said that was incorrect he said no that is the case I then asked for it to be put in writing and speak to a manager. The manager apologized up and down and said that is a sales tactic by the finance guy who is new still trying to adapt and assured me he would cancel the extended warranty immediately in my car would still be a CPO. So it’s been about a month and a half I called back yesterday because I still noticed the Extended warranty on my bill. I called Subaru America they they said yes it should still active. They informed me they would contact dealership and straighten this out the dealership then called me and ask for my current mileage. I refuse to give my current mileage because they were trying to prorate my warranty to give me less off my current mileage not the mileage when I tried to cancel the extended warranty two days after purchase. I asked The sales manager to speak to his boss he hung up on me. Very unprofessional and still trying to fight with the dealership to get what I was promised. Worst experience I’ve ever had buying a car and would definitely recommend at least a different Subaru dealership or a different brand if this is how Subaru treats her customers.

Had a very positive experience with the entire team at Sendell. Got there at opening on Saturday and had researched my car that I wanted for weeks. Came prepared and ready to buy AND prepared to spend the entire day doing so as I have come to anticipate buying a car is a full-day experience. Met with Shelly (excellent salesperson) shortly after my arrival, Test drove the vehicle for 15 mins, reviewed their offer and purchased the vehicle. Spent a few moments talking with Henry (general manager - great guy), spoke with John (their Encore Technology guy) for a few minutes, then waited about 15 for Josh (another great guy) from the Finance Team, shortly thereafter, my car was ready amidst a full show room of people by 12N. Best experience of my car-buying life. Was having such a nice time conversing with all their team, I wasn't really ready to leave. Home at 12:30. Bought many new cars in my life but this was an exceptional experience. I really didn't buy just a 2021 Crosstrek, I bought a Crosstrek AND a team of individuals who gave a heck about the customer experience. My only disappointment was I was not able to meet the lady on their commercials who closes every ad with "We'd love to meet you." LOL.. Oh well, can't have everything! Truly, a unique car-purchasing experience.

I am in the market for a new car and I have been searching since Memorial Day for a good deal. Long story short, after shopping around and exchanging phone calls and emails with different dealers, I visited Subaru Serra in Akron, OH. I was looking for a Legacy 2020, and started to work with Julie Remesik. At the moment they did not have any in stock, we settle on a price range, and I even left a $500 deposit that they asked for. Julie told me she was going to request the car with my specifications from another dealer and they were going to bring it sometime this week. Once the car arrived, I confirmed Julie that I was coming on Friday before 430 pm as she requested. She stressed that I had to arrive before 430 pm to have enough time to close the deal. In order for me to be there on time I had to leave work early and drive 3 hours to get there on time.
Today (June 5th, 2020), I arrived before 430 pm, and the first thing that Julie told me, was that “I will have to send you back home, since you did not fill out the credit application”, which infuriated me since I had not even seen the car in person or test drive it, and she even said that “if we could not make a deal, we could not make a deal”. With that attitude I immediately requested my deposit back. She brought the sales manager, and after a quick chat I walked out of the dealership with a deposit receipt and no car.
What annoyed me the most was that even though half of the negotiation was done and I was ready to purchase a new car, Julie was rude and unpolite. Since the beginning I told her I was not going to fill out an application without seeing and driving the car first (who buys a car without seeing it and test it first), but she kept pushing. With her comment about sending me back home, she disregarded the effort I made of leaving work early and driving 3 hours to arrive on time. They mentioned they had other customers, but I made an appointment with Julie to do all the paperwork, and I only saw a couple of customers and a lot of sale representatives available.
During these difficult times, from a consumer’s perspective, it’s a big commitment to buy a new car. I guess Serra Subaru in Akron must be doing really good to let go an almost already done deal. After investing a week working with Serra Subaru in Akron and with Julie, it is frustrating to be treated with such disrespected for my time and effort.
I really hope this was just a terrible mistake from the Serra Subaru at Akron personnel and not a prejudice due to the fact that I am Hispanic.

May of 2019 – When we bought the car we were told free lifetime inspections. Never once did they tell us that we could have to pay. So my car needed a marker light bulb and rear brakes. They wanted over $800 even though they advertise they offer the best prices. The brake price was one thing but for the marker light they wanted $34.00. The bulb cost $0.50 at NAPA and took less than 1 minute to replace.
Just this week (2/4/2020) we are losing our radio when we put the rear defrost on. We got this rude lady from the call center who told us to just call safe lite and have them fix it. But we have a warranty that is to cover this. So I called the manager today (2/6/20) and no apology just told me this is the standard procedure.
I guess the standard procedure is to be rude to customers.

Sales director is the rudest guy i have ever seen. Shake your hand and no mask in covid times refused to lower price even a dollar despite lots if scratches and lower comparatives. We came twice in 4 days to see the car from 50miles away and they could not clean it inside (many stains) or change a plastic rail which should take no time. Lots of scratches all over especially on the whole right side where the car clearly scraped against something.

Looking for a used car, I went to a lot of dealerships and dealt with a lot of salespeople. The service at Kerven Subaru really stood out against the rest. It was luck that they had the perfect car for me, but I walked away from a quite a few other cars that could have been perfect as well over service. Kerven Subaru got me the best deal and did all that they could to make the sale go as smoothly and as quickly as possible. The customer service was wonderful and i'll absolutely be sure to go back.
