Angie was my service advisor for this Mustang oil change/inspection and minor leak investigation. She later called me with the leak repair estimate. When I went to pick up the car, she told me the repair took about an hour less than estimated meaning the cost was less than estimated. Providing an effective repair at a cost less than estimated and agreed to in advance by the customer is a very rare event in the auto repair industry. But when it does happen, my guess is that it happens more often at Boucher Village Ford than anywhere else. Their repairs are done right the first time and they stand behind their work. We rely on Angie, Tim and Service Manager Kevin to keep our family's vehicles safe and reliable on the road. Thank you, Angie.

I brought my car into Ewalds for service because their schedulers told me I had a shot at getting a loaner that day. The first thing Bob told me was that they only give loaners for warranty work. I had passed up a closer dealer that does give loaners too, and my car was being towed, so that was a significant first strike.
My car was already there though, and I wasn't about to pay for a second tow, so I had them look at it.
They then turned and repeatedly lied through their teeth, trying to get me to replace an engine block that didn't need replacing.
1st I was told there was coolant in my cylinders and the cylinders were very scored.
2nd I was told that the spark plugs were soaked in coolant, and it would not have been worth the time to look any further for damage, so they just decided it needed an engine replacement.
3rd I was told my engine had seized.
4th I was told that there was so much coolant in the cylinders they couldn't even look for scoring, but because the coolant had gotten into the engine it had to be replaced.
Luckily, I know enough about cars to know that coolant in the cylinders is not necessarily a death sentence for your car. Usually it just means you need a new head gasket and/or cylinder head. I brought my car to a small shop, where they cleaned out the cylinders and the car started right up. So for a quarter of the dealer's quoted repair cost, my car will be up and running again.
Oh, and BTW, the cylinders are not scored, nor, obviously, had the engine seized. Ewalds did kill my battery though.

Had service done on 2018 Explorer in Sep of 2020 and they told my Wife she would need tires soon at the time there was only 9500 miles and the Explorer was only 2 years old then she took it in for another oil change this month and they told her that the rear brakes were worn on one side and said it would not be covered under warranty and at this time it only had 13000 miles-most likely the calipers are hung up. They told her they could fix it for about 240.00. When I called they said they did not have a Tech look at. They make it seem like they like to take advantage of women as the tires were fine and I will take to another shop to look at the calipers. I would not recommend anyone to use there service department as I would not trust that the work needs to be done.

I purchased 4 vehicles from them the last 20 years. Now they have been bought out by Lynch. But would think the place in Glendale would be the same. I normally do my own maintenance but they talked me into the Pre-Paid maintenance plan because of their Warranty for Ever program. Not only did they strip out all my lug nuts while rotating my tires (using the wrong size socket) but I also found my oil filter leaking twice as it wasn't tightened all the way. They also over tightened the body cover stripping all the plastic screws as well. Granted, this was all done in their quick lube. Than when they were bought out by Lynch, they offered me $80 to cancel my pre paid maintenance when I had 4 oil changes and 8 tire rotations left totalling over $400, A mere fraction of what was really owed to me. What a scam, stay away from AMATO
