I drove over 100 miles to buy a Certified 2019 Ford Escape at Al Piemonte Ford. Before I arrived, I called and received a price of $23,500 from Jose who answered the phone. When the paper work was being completed the price was the full listed price of $24,977. After several minutes of negotiations, the manager would only take $100 off the full listing price. That was a joke. I offered $24,200 as a compromise and the manager refused, would not even take $700 off. I was ready to write a check and drive it home. Also, the car was missing the rear floor mats and the second key fob, which is $375 to get a new one. The car was supposed to be Ford certified. The manager said the certification costs $2,000, when I know it only cost $500. He said his employees were union employees and he had to pay them a high salary. When I left, I called Uftring Ford in East Peoria, received a great price on a 2019 Ford Escape, and they honored their verbal price. This car was less expensive and had more options. I bought the car and drove it home same day.

Only go to this dealer if it's below 85 degrees. I've been shopping for a used Escape for a while. Went to River Oaks Ford and looked around the lot. I'll admit it was pretty hot, but I was on the lot for about 20 minutes checking out the Escapes. After nobody came out to greet me, I went in to see what the deal was. There were 3 guys sitting at a desk. I asked if they had any used Escapes and they said no. Didn't get up, didn't do anything. Okay then. On to the next dealership.

I let Webb service this gasket and had no problem until The wife drove the van to West Virgina through the mountains. Bam! The engine blew and I had to buy a new engine in Mt.Airy, NC. Anyway, when I got back to ChicagoI called Webb and told them what had happened, they said bring in the repair bill and they would see if Ford Motor would refund my money for the head gasket. The results were positive and I receiveda refund. Happy-Happy.
