I flew into Boise to visit friends. Went on a walk down the green belt and stumbled upon Dales Auto Sales in Garden City!
Kyle (son of Dale) happened to stop by afterhours as I was admiring the 2012 Jeep it was the Friday evening before Memorial Day weekend. Kyle treated me like a person; not a potential car sales buyer. SERIOUSLY - There was no hidden agenda, no covert actions, no powerful hand shake or any “normal car sales lingo or tactics”. Kyle was there to get the trailer to go dirt biking for the weekend with his family. We chatted it up and found out that Dales Auto Sales was close due to the holiday & would not be open until Tuesday May 28th. I learned a little history while chatting with Kyle. His father Dale has had the dealership for 46 years. Dale is 76 and continues to work with his son selling cars and building relationships.
I returned on Tuesday and met Dale. What a pleasure it was to meet him. He had his Idaho socks & sandals. LOL – just so you know everyone who lives in Idaho wears socks with their sandals. My first impression was spot on…..I like this guy!
After I provided my driver’s license & insurance information Dale respectfully gave me the low down on my potentially new ride, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler all lifted 35x12.5 tires & wheels – CLEARLY a CHICK ride!! Dale placed the dealer plate on the back of the Jeep & I was on my way to test drive this beast.
Upon my return I gave Dale my written offer along with my “wish list” of fix it items. I need to say; I personally call myself a “Car Whore” & do know a little about cars. I have purchased three Jeeps and I would like to think I know what to look for. There was no back & forth it was a HOME RUN. Dale said to me, I respect your offer Sharon; here is what we can do. We made the deal happen…..HASSLE FREE!! No twisting of the arms, legs or “typical” car salesman manipulation.
My 2012 Jeep Wrangler was quickly financed & I was on my way back home DRIVING to Spokane. Dale called me a day later to simply make sure I made it home safe. What a kind man……like I said in the beginning of this review there was NO hidden agenda. I let Dale know that I was very happy with the Jeep. Oh, my husband was also happy…..bahahahaaaa
I would not hesitate to refer anyone to visit Dales Auto Sales to purchase a used vehicle. I think Dale & Kyle sincerely care about their customers & want them to be happy.

Great service from start to finish. I would recommend Tim Heffner and his crew to my family and friends. I had to travel to purchase my Corvette. I did my purchase over phone calls, texts and emails. Tim described the car to me and sent pictures. When I got there I didn't even have to drive the car before I signed the papers. Because looking at the car I can see the car was better than what Tim described. He did not mislead me or tell things that were not true to get the sale. Let it be stated that I do not make a practice of praising services that I consider to be “part of doing business.” My attitude is, Let the product speak for itself. Certainly, the product I selected to own speaks volumes for itself. I bought a new Subaru Accent Touring. This vehicle is truly astounding and a whole lot smarter than its driver. The safety features and convenience groups are easy to access and make wife and myself feel secure in the operation of the vehicle. My wife suffers from a variety of health issues that make driving a little more of a challenge. It seems like this car with its back-up cameras, lane protection, and warning systems was ideally created for her. What I wish to highlight in praise is the dealership itself. The new facility is beautiful and so are the people that I encountered in the process of buying a new car. The sales team was very professional pointing out safety features and benefits of the vehicles I chose to test-drive. Once a decision was made, they moved me very rapidly to the finance department. I suppose it is as this point where the buyer always feels like they are about to lose their shirt. Instead options were presented to me in a very friendly and low-pressure way. Before I took possession of the car, it seemed like every person in the dealership stopped their work, came and surrounded my wife and myself to thank us for purchasing one of their products and to wish us well.
We have now had the Accent, which we named Big White, for about five months and recently called for the first service for the vehicle. The service department made an immediate appointment for service and literally in minutes the work was accomplished. I know a little about auto garages and I must say that am impressed by the size of the garage and the range of vehicles I observed that were being worked on. I enquired and was pleased that they could also work on my baby, my 2008 Mini Cooper S. Now I know where to take it for serve.
I have no doubt that my experience with Treasure Valley Subaru will be echoed by all who find their way into their dealership.

You walk into Ozzy's, and you think you lucked out. They have great salesmen, very friendly, no pressure. You leave thinking this place is awesome. Read the reviews, it's all the same, sounds great.... Well they aren't!!
They really crap on you once you leave with your car! Took the car down after we had it for a month when it first started making a weird sound. They checked it out, said it's nothing to worry about. Months later, engine dies. They don't return calls. From other reviews, looks like this is fairly common practice from this dealership. Don't trust the cars they are selling you.

I do not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle. I'm 20 years old and went with my mother to possibly purchase a vehicle. I told them my budget and they showed me a car that they claimed was in my budget. I asked for a 4/5 year loan, for a car under $20,000 that was a used compact suv. They found one that was alright. They never made an attempt to sell the car to me, they sold it to my mother. She wrote out the check, and they started handing us paperwork. They explained nothing to us and changed the numbers behind our backs. The one time they explained something, it was for an extended warranty that we said we did not want and asked them to remove it. They kept it in our contract. We returned in less than 12 hours to inform them that I literally cannot pay for this vehicle. It was $10,000 more than I could afford. They did take off $4,000 for the warranty but refused to take back the vehicle I cannot afford. It is now sitting on their lot because I cannot insure the car because they lied and priced it way above my budget. I offered to purchase a different vehicle on the lot and plenty of others. I hope to not have to take the legal route but I will if need be. Please take this warning seriously. Our sales rep looked us in the eyes, showed us pictures of his kids that were my age and yet had the audacity to twist the numbers and scam me.

E.M. motors is running around finding Mercedes Sprinter Vans buying them, putting a wheel package on them, cleaning/waxing and marking them up 40% or MORE...Yes, they are adding 15-20K to the the price tag to flip the car off to you. I find this appalling, and you should too. They are inflating used van prices as you read this. E.M. Motors are artificially inflated used vans in many cases beyond the original selling price.
So you say " that's capitalism" I say this should elevated price fixing be illegal. This is a prime example of a "stealer-ship" (dealer) taking a resource, monopolizing it, and then artificially inflating the value. That's not capitalism that is the fleecing of America.
Why can't you just go to a car store and shop for cars from a bunch of different manufacturers without getting taken to the cleaners? Why don't cars have real price tags — with real prices, that people actually pay?
They provide plenty of friendliness when you talk with them. But why wouldn't they, they are stealing money out of your pocket and putting it in theirs. I believe in a business making some money and feeding a family. E.M. Motors is GOUGING the price. They are not making a couple bucks providing a quality service, they are marking up a product beyond an acceptable rate for finding these vehicles.
E.M. Motors is a prime example of why car buying is so unpleasant and so untrustworthy. I question what our local legislators are doing to keep it that way. When our local legislators should be doing something to CHANGE this type of STEALING from the consumer.
Do your research. Walk into E.M. Motors with tremendous caution.

I had a fantastic experience buying a car at Dennis Dillon. I travelled from Seattle to purchase a used Mazda Miata. Tom, my salesman, picked me up from the airport and drove me to the dealership. The car was as advertised and was in beautiful condition inside and out. True, the financing portion was a bit slow, but well worth it in my book. Tom even called me after I left to make sure my drive home had been okay.
I read so many negative reviews that I almost didn’t pull the trigger on this deal... but I’m so glad I did. From the time I called to inquire to the time so arrived at home, I was treated with professionalism and friendliness.
My hunch is that the car business is so rife with unethical people, people just sort of come to expect it at dealerships. But that’s not what I found at Dennis Dillon. Great car, great price, great people, and overall great experience.
Go see Tom if you want to be treated with genuineness and honesty. You’ll be glad you did!

The worst service communication . In the last year has me completely speechless. Adam has always corrected and apologized for any issues but I think I’m past the point of apologizing. I called scheduled my appointment asked how much oh it will be 57, I asked are you sure ? Yes I show up Stephanie asked what I’m here for , well good morning to you ! I said I have a service give me you keys ok well your due for a 90000 , yes I know this is what I scheduled it will be 566. Well that’s a huge difference in price when I specifically asked yeah sorry I need a signature doesn’t give a crap on anything I said . I said this is the second vehicle in a month you guys have screwed up on . What the heck I not purchasing a vehicle today so my service here doesn’t matter? I have purchased 5 vehicles here drive 3 hours to get it serviced here and yeah my opinion of this place is changing more on the negative than positive. I chose to come here I don’t have to . It’s definitely time for a change. As I’m sitting here waiting not one person has said anything to me . I will pay for my service and I will not come back. And what’s up with this place not wearing masks??? We bought a car from them that has been broken down more than it's run in the past four months. They did replace one part on it that went out w/i a week of buying the POS, but then the transmission went out. We didn't ask for a refund or a repair. We simply wanted to exchange it for another vehicle, but they told us the finance company wouldn't allow trade-ins for six months. So, we've endured the six months w/ the car that barely runs, and now, they won't do a trade-in, because that isn't their policy. Um, okay, then why did they say it was? Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this junk lot. They sell lemons and don't care about the consequences. Their selection sucks, and the few cars they have that are in good shape are so overpriced that few (who would be shopping at a buy here-pay here place) can get qualified for them.
P.S. One wonders if the "dizzy_dj" user that also reviewed this place isn't the same D.J. that works/used to work for Auto Sense...

these folks were awsome. both sean and jenn were a big help. they put such nice paper work together even the gentleman at the dmv office commented on it. the truck i bought was a fantastic price, well below blue book value. i never felt any presaure and the people that work there seem normal, not in your face to sell a vehicle.
i would absolutely recomend this dealership to anyone. it was the best ive ever felt buying a vehicle. and the truck is pretty damn cool too.
