In my search for a new vehicle, I came across great... - volkssurfer
In my search for a new vehicle, I came across great reviews for Honda of Pasadena. As a member of the Honda family for many generations, with over a half dozen Honda's owned in my lifetime, I decided to give HOP a call to confirm a few Honda Fit's inventory. Called this past Saturday morning and spoke with Brian L. Was helpful with confirming they were on the lot, so I scheduled test drives and to check the vehicles out for later in the day. Upon arriving in my Honda Element I was greeted and shown the vehicles and asked if I would be trading in. It was insisted upon several times while we were looking at the vehicles that an appraisal was free. What the heck, let's do it. Note, I was very reluctant to even mention I was open to trading in my vehicle because of the age and milage of my Element. Private party for this niche vehicle is much higher than what they would give me any day...we both knew this. Fast forward to post test drive, one vehicle was in fantastic shape and had lower milage, but the color was not ideal. No worries, my plan was just to look anyway, and I was very clear up till this point. I was asked to sit down and share my feelings on the car and naturally talk price. This is where the tone changes completely, it went from small talk to " what is it going to take to get you in this vehicle today"? The high pressure sales pitch had started, and at the forefront of the conversation was the appraisal and findings for my personal vehicle. I was immediately told that my vehicle was salvage ,due to an accident, and they would take it as a trade in towards the purchase of a new vehicle but it would be worth very little due to the /accident/ salvage title. This was a family vehicle before I purchased it with two or three owners total and the vehicle was never in an accident.....I knew this for certain. This immediately became a red flag and I asked to see the carfax they stated had been run on my personal vehicle. Fast forward five more minutes of back and forth high pressure BS sales talk, and no Carfax to confirm the VIN and that this was indeed true. I stopped the conversation and said that I'm not talking further until I see the Carfax and this is when it all went South. Brian, proceeds to show me a five-page Carfax in which the title of the vehicle is not salvaged and the only mentionable item on the CARFAX is at an oil change place in 2019 where a clerical error was made on the mileage. I'd assume someone who does this for a living knows the difference between a salvage car that has been in an accident, and clerical error. After about 30 seconds of clarifying this I immediately got up and stated this conversation was over due to the obvious lying. As I walked out the gentleman, Clark ( stated a manager), who did the appraisal on my vehicle still had my keys, I asked for my keys back in which case he did not present them to me but proceeded to talk about the Carfax and further double down on the lying. I immediately stopped him and said I wanted my keys back this instant and naturally turned rude after the first request for my vehicle keys were not handed back. The amount of disgust with these people is enough for me to never recommend this dealership and tell everyone on my car forums and the general public What to expect when dealing with HOP. It's obvious that the xxxxxxx lying and deceitful practices still run rampant. It's truly a shame for anyone who has been taken advantage of. I will never consider or return to this dealership for any business dealings whatsoever.

Finance manager Gary ghuman & Joseph added a “free” alarm... - Lucero Canales
Finance manager Gary ghuman & Joseph added a “free” alarm to my car. At first I let gary know I didn’t need the alarm but he insisted it would be free because I had a previous loan with them, so i agreed only later to find out he charged me 955$ for it. So dishonest and liars they want to feed themselves and their families by lying to customers just to mane a deal ! As I was leaving Joseph approached me saying “You got a free alarm, nice! “ little did I know he was trying to play along with Gary and scam people. Tried contacting the dealer ship and Gary refuses to answer and Tracy says nothing can be done. I will continue to leave reviews on my bad experience with Carson Honda on different dealer websites so people can be aware and stay AWAY from them. I’ll also be taking legal action against this. This is absolutely NOT okay.
Inconsistent and Unhelpful - CM
Typical dealership problem, salespeople focusing on moving cars quickly and treating customer as a number rather than truly answering to what customer is looking for and cares about. Also, expect the car buying experience to be inconsistent depending on a number of factors, such as who your salesperson is, who the floor manager is at the time, and, I guess, the financial contribution of your potential purchase (personally speaking, I had different salespeople pressuring me into making a purchase, coercing me into switching a car that I don't want, making last-minute changes on out-the-door price, etc.). Last but not least, don't fall for any pre-deal promises by the salesperson and don't hope for any friendly, helpful, and quality after-sale services, especially from the salesperson, unless you are bringing in more financial incentives (aka sales). With all that said, their non-sales staff are much more courteous, patient, and willing to help.
Now, if you're okay with everything just mentioned, feel free to give this place a shot as they seem to know their reputation and relatively poor positioning (especially when better dealers are super nearby) and you may be able to take advantage of that in the buying process.
bought a used SUV from them, they promised in writing... - JGreene
bought a used SUV from them, they promised in writing that they would fix a rip on leather seat as a condition for me buying it. Waited months, got the run around with “oh they don’t work here anymore, let me help you schedule it again” excuse, then finally got notified to bring SUV in and when I did I Had thought wrong, wasn’t to repair seat it was a checkup kinda thing. Told me “sorry for the confusion” They changed the oil and checked the brakes, etc.. at no cost to say sorry. ok, whatever.. a few days after getting home my brakes started squealing, took to local shop and what do you know, brakes are worn out! Ok, what else did they half arse.. So checked oil, it was NEVER changed!! Holy cow the incompetence. Called and got the ol “so and so is in a meeting and will call you back” every time I called to talk to service manager. Then started looking though my paperwork as I’m thinking of taking them to court, and I didn’t have a copy where I had them write the agreement for the seat repairs, plus no copy of the Carfax report was included either! Turns out salesman never put it in my paperwork because I truly believe he was upset I didn’t go for any of the extra add ones they try to stick you with when you finalizing the deal. Called their corporate and left messages but again no call back. So just sick of dealing with these people and wouldn’t let them touch my SUV now if they were the last dealership on earth. And Victoria is some name they insist on using as someone I worked with over there. Can’t erase it on here as I have no clue who this person is. Don’t recall who I worked with as apparently it doesn’t matter anyways cause the employees are never there for very long. I think they are rotated between dealerships so when they screw you over than can just say “oh, I’m sorry so and so doesn’t work here anymore, We can’t help you.”

This is by far the worst car dealership ever! Ive... - Niks
This is by far the worst car dealership ever! Ive purchased numerous of cars here due to them always being so nice but when it is time to turn in my lease soon I will definitely be going to another dealership and I will no longer refer anyone over to them anymore. I purchased my car last year in March so my car is less than 2 years old with only 24000 miles on it. I get into my car one morning and all my light in my car are going off I take it to the dealership and they tell me that my fuel injector needs to be cleaned out and its going to be over $300 to have it cleaned and they aren't even sure if that is the problem they would need to do that step first in order to further diagnose the problem. I then speak to the so called service manager name Gary and let me start off by saying I don't know how someone that talks like him even is a manager in the first place he was completely rude on the phone. "He has the nerve to tell me then come get your xxxx car!!" I went and picked up my car and they bring my car out to me and all of a sudden all my lights are off in car after they told me that I had put bad gas into my car. Let me just throw this out there as well I have another car same year same everything except that its a sport and mine is a EX-L and I put the same type of gas in that car and have never had any problems with it. They've lost a good customer along with everyone that came along with them. My mom was due to turn in her lease as well and I told her DO NOT go to this dealership at all they do not deserve our business!

Went ready to buy pre qualified through my credit union,... - JET
Went ready to buy pre qualified through my credit union, I was close to upgrading but the person that “helped” me kept trying to downgrade me for an easy sale. Along with that— they attract security features that cost $1,300 on top of everything. After wasting my time the incompetent “manager” tells me that the security feature is not removable and you cannot finance outside of Honda until 3 month later and there is a $90 fee to refinance. Shady work ethics all around I read the reviews and took a chance. Don’t make the same mistake. The salesman told me straight up that they put low prices online to get people there— and they fail to mention the secluded financing with fees and the extra security device they attach that “cannot be removed.”

This was by far the easiest and absolute best car buying... - theschnooks
This was by far the easiest and absolute best car buying experience I've ever had. I usually dread visiting car lots and being chased around by dealers, or even worse being ignored because I'm not dressed sharp enough! (I'm talking about you cerritos nissan!) Well this was much different, we got to browse the cars on our own and when we were ready, we were warmly greeted by Frank, our salesman. He pointed out all the great features on the Civic we were considering and then we took it on a test drive. He never tried to talk us into a more expensive model, or adding a bunch of extras, he just let us get the model we wanted and gave us a great price we couldn't refuse. When it came to the paper work, it was smooth sailing and their financing even beat our credit unions interest rate. We were then sent to Art who patiently explained our contracts and additional warranty coverage, and got to watch us sign all of our official documents. He never made us feel like big idiots if we didn't consider additional coverage. (I'm talking to you again cerritos nissan!) We were also congratulated many times by various sales people, including Richard the sales manager. This is a dealership who knows the Honda name sales itself and won't try to pressure you in any way. Therefore I highly recommend Community Honda of Whittier! You rock!!!
