I had a very positive experience with Elk Grove... - Car Lover
I had a very positive experience with Elk Grove Volkswagon. The salesman, Bobby Williams, went out of his way to accommodate me while test driving the Atlas Cross Sport. I brought my dog and he dog sat while I drove. He was never pushy, just a really nice person. When it came to purchasing the car, he did his best to help me get the price I wanted. He succeeded and the dog and I have a new car that we absolutely love. Later, when questions arose, I texted him for help and he responded promptly. The finance manager was also very pleasant and efficient. He got me out of there without a big push to buy extras, which of course I appreciated. Everyone else, the receptionist, the other salespeople, etc. were helpful and made my experience a good one. I would definitely recommend this dealership and the new Atlas Cross Sport!

I have a new 19 jetta and have taken this vehicle to... - Ivalentine
I have a new 19 jetta and have taken this vehicle to Folsom Volkswagen a few times now and feel so disrespected, disappointed, discriminated against, harassed and just taken advantage of. The first time was for my 20k service and upon picking the vehicle up I noticed a dent on the passenger front fender as well as my mirror being scratched. However the did offer to fix the dent they denied scratching the mirror. Mind you that my vehicle only had 20k miles at the time and had no previous damages (I deeply inspect my vehicle every time I wash it and know of every scratch and ding there is) dent was fixed but the mirror was not he last time I brought the vehicle in was for it’s 3rd service to be done and once I brought the car in I was greeted by the regular service advisor I’ve dealt with but everything was very unclear. A form was laid out in front of me with 3 options of service ranging from $300-$700 and I assumed the cheapest one was regular servicing and the higher priced were recommendations. Nothing was explained to me about what exactly would be done on my car and I had no idea there was a difference from an oil change and regular service as in the last they have used both terms when describing what’s going to be done. I left there with only one form stating a 30k service and tire pressure check but nothing else. I looked online and found out a service from them should only be $153 and some change. I emailed the advisor to stop repairs and only do the oil change nothing else. I would have called but it was a very busy morning at work for me. He did not respond until about 5 hours later saying the repairs were already about to be finished and sent me a copy of the $300 service. The major charge was a brake fluid exchange which it states should be done every 2 years regardless of mileage. Mind you this is a 2019 vehicle and we are barely in the first month of 2020. Why would they be doing this service if it is not time to do so. I questioned the advisor on the phone because he had called approximately 15 minutes after the email was sent to me and he just laughed when I questioned him. He told me I’m not reading correctly so I read word for word what was on the page he emailed me which clearly states 2 years (regardless of mileage) so does this not mean no matter what my mileage is that every 2 years I need my brake fluid exchanged? Because what I get from that is even if the car had 10 miles on it that the fluid should be changed on the vehicle in December of 2020 the earliest as I’ve had the vehicle since December of 2018 which means I’ve owned the vehicle two years hence the “every 2 years”. Again he just laughed and said he spoke to my manager and they will no longer assist me in any way ever again without giving me any explanation as to why I am now “banned” from getting service done at this location as the advisor said and repeated over and over which made me feel pressured, bullied, and harassed into accepting this unfortunate, undefined, unreasonable outcome. The only good thing that came out of this is that I only paid what should have been done to the car which was a basic service/oil change and I paid for fuel additives they put in the fuel system which I did not even know was going to be done and if so I surely would have opted out on that part since I only run premium gas with Techron which is an additive and cleanser itself. I am just purely ashamed to have even been seen at this dealership as it is a sorry excuse for a business. The Whole service office is smaller than a living room in a 1 bedroom apartment. The sales room is just sad and makes you depressed and feel sorry for the location for even attempting to be decent it’s literally comparable to the worst motel 6 you can thing of. There is just a huge empty pool like structure in the front that’s filled with dirt, grime, and a whole bunch of just green substance. Clearly seems like a health violation or something. I do not recommend this location what so ever unless you like being taken advantage of, abused, bullied, and harassed.
They won't give you the price without wasting a ton time. - Ryan
I had a very nice "salesman" who wanted to help me with my e-golf and was knowledgeable but I already knew I wanted the car and asked the price (MSRP sticker was clearly not the market price). He said he can't talk pricing, sat me down and walked away for 20 mins to get someone who can talk price. He walked back to me to with sheet of paper that had the MSRP. I said "is this your price"? He said he can't talk price. I said "then what were you doing for 20 mins? He asked what I'd like to pay and I said "less than MSRP". He asked what I thought would be a fair price? and I said "I thought you weren't allowed to talk about price". He said he would take my offer to his manager. I said I'd just like to know the price they were selling it for and he said the MSRP is the only number he can give me unless I make his manager an offer. I said I'd be leaving, he ran to get his manager who just repeated the same mantra (minus the "I can't talk price" bit).
There is nothing pleasant about a dealership that won't give out their price. It's an exercise in absurdity that they want me to talk first. It's unprofessional and it's rude they way they treat my time.
