Very poor service from beginning to end! - Trucker52
Upon entering the service I get a cold welcome. I called for an appt. four days in advance .This was a waste of time as cars were serviced in a first come basis! There were no seats available in the waiting area so there fore I walked to the front sales area of the building.NO one offered any help or even a friendly greeting as all were in their cubbies .I am in the market for a new truck yet no one offered assistance. I am 64 years old and have never seen any poorer service than what I experienced today! After one hour and forty two minutes of waiting service was completed on my vehicle. I would Not recommend this dealership to anyone seeking aNissan!
Never again will I take any vehicle to Geri Lynn Nissan... - Jcapicy
Never again will I take any vehicle to Geri Lynn Nissan in Houma, LA.
My partner and I alternate bringing cars for service appointments. My experience was always straight forward, relatively quick, and no real issues. My wife on the other hand, always a run around, told she needed repairs only to find out we didn't, or mis-diagnosis issues, that if we wanted specific information would cost a $99 diagnosis. My wife brought her car in for an oil change and is told she needs over $3k in repairs, I bring it to another mechanic and they can't find that problem, or it's something else and far less costly.
When I called Geri Lynn to bring this to her attention, instantly she gets aggressively defensive saying things like, "We don't do that!", or "That's not how it works here!" Not once was there any semblance of an apology that we gave that impression, or I'm sorry if a mistake was made.
It really gives the impression that she is either aware and endorses it, or is completely out of touch and unaware of what's happening under her businesses roof.
I can appreciate that dealership repairs with certified parts and employees cost more, but I also know they will hire mechanics with almost no experience. I also know some of her mechanics don't even bother to do the multi point inspection during an oil change and just fudge the numbers they write on the inspection sheet.
My wife should never be treated differently than me in that situation, and no business owner should argue that a customer was wrong in a situation like above.
Also, when I called for a quote after my wife was told a CV Joint boot was torn, but they couldn't tell her which side, they told me it would be over 3 Grand (just shy of $3,600), and they could get it in that afternoon to start the repair. When I challenged them not knowing which side they told me a diag would be $99/side and that the mechanic likely saw grease dripping from it.
Took it to a mechanic that does great work, that has honored their work in the past, and it's the struts, something he was able to tell after a 1 min test drive and with a flashlight. Looking at around $700. That's a huge discrepancy.

Came in for my wheel bearings to be replaced. Took them 5... - CameronShane1996
Came in for my wheel bearings to be replaced. Took them 5 hours after being told it should take 3 hours. After they’ve finished up with the wheel bearings I left. Had to turn around because now there was a horrible metal on metal screeching sound. This place is complete xxxx. Technician hurry so they can go for lunch and bail when confronted on the matter. I will never use the Billy Navarre Nissan of Lake Charles Service department ever again!
They could have killed my family!!! I bought a 2014... - mtj
They could have killed my family!!! I bought a 2014 Expedition from this dealership 5 months ago. The vehicle was always a little squirrelly through curves, with one instance where I almost lost control on the interstate. Turns out they sold me a vehicle with blown struts on the rear suspension. From the amount of caked on dirt and oil on the struts it was obvious they had been blown for a while. The dealership did not inspect the vehicle before selling it to me. I purchased new strut assemblies and asked the dealership to install them for me, on their dime. They refused. In fact they even refused to install them with me paying for the installation. For those that don't know, the install is simple, 3 nuts have to be removed on top of the assembly and 1 bolt on the bottom; 20 minutes each. I'm a disabled war veteran and am not physically able to do the repair myself. In short, beware of these guys, they take no pride in their profession, they just want fast easy money with zero concern for your safety.
Compliment - customer
I purchased floor mats for my new Rogue and Steve in parts was very friendly and helpful. As I was leaving dealership with my mats, Demel, new car sales was at front door and offered to take mats to my car and put them in-which he did. His kindness very much appreciated.
