1 Star – Extremely Disappointing and Costly Experience
I brought my 2022 Grand Design RV to Blue Compass RV for warranty work. Before dropping it off, I specifically informed them that freezing temperatures were coming and that my RV was not winterized. I was assured multiple times that everything would be fine.
When I picked up my RV, I was informed that due to freezing temperatures, my shower head had cracked and my water softener located in the pass-through had burst. They replaced the shower head with one they had on hand and told me they had ordered a replacement water softener.
After getting the RV home, I noticed water dripping. Upon further inspection, I discovered that multiple water lines going to my water heater had cracked and were leaking. Blue Compass RV admitted fault and sent a mobile RV technician to replace the water lines.
A short time later, I noticed more water leaking, this time from a weld on the water heater tank itself. When I contacted Blue Compass RV, they denied all responsibility, claiming too much time had passed and that it was likely a manufacturer defect. I was left with no choice but to replace the water heater myself at a cost of $600.
Not long after that, I discovered soft spots in my floors, indicating ongoing or previously missed leaks. When I contacted Blue Compass RV again, they completely denied ever letting my RV freeze, denied replacing my shower head, denied ordering a new water softener, and even claimed that the mobile RV technician they sent was not their employee and should have pressure-tested everything—despite the fact that they sent him.
At this point, I am left with an RV that has suffered extensive water damage, soft floors, and multiple leaks, all while Blue Compass RV refuses to take any accountability whatsoever.
This experience has been financially draining, stressful, and completely unacceptable.
Do not—and I repeat—do NOT bring your RV to this dealership for service work.
