Here is what happened to me, I am writing this to make sure no one else gets taken for a ride like I just did by this one Snake Oil xxxxxxx, I mean salesman. Maybe there are some great people here, but one bad apple can spoil a bunch. right DAN the man with the plan (to steal your money!)? If you were thinking about purchasing a vehicle from Texas Auto, I would RUN away from this CHOP SHOP as FAST as you possibly can. I recently had the misfortune of dealing with a xxxxxxx, oh I mean salesman by the name of Dan. Now Dan is RUTHLESS. He is certainly not a good person! No one with an ounce of morals would conduct business this way! Maybe this was a one time thing for Dan, highly doubt it lolz Dan sold me a 2011 BMW X5 with the following issues: -A transfer box that is internally binding - Front wheel bearings that are shot - Torn Thrust Arm bushings - Crumbling partition walls These are just the MAJOR issues! Forget about all the other smaller issues the car has. Maybe I am wrong, but I don’t think you are supposed to trick people into buying a car with over $4k in repairs needed the first day you drive the car! I am sure you would all be really surprised to hear that Dan won’t return anyone’s calls either! Once he unloaded that lemon on me, why would he need to take any phone calls? I mean he already got paid right? I could go on, but I think I made my point pretty clear. RUN! Unless… You are into the following: -headaches - unreturned phone calls and emails - stress - burning money - doing business with xxxxxxxx - devil worship Then Texas Auto is the place for you!!! Make sure to ask for Dan if you want to get screwed!!! He will be happy to steal your money!

If you plan on buying from these people, and your traveling from any excessive distance I urge you to think twice. From the beginning... I live in wyoming. I'm 1000 miles away. I found a truck I wanted and I called to inquire. The guy seemed pretty cool and answered my questions. The three main questions were 1. Are the any mechanical issues I need to be aware of. 2. I'm very particular with my things and if I'm going to travel this far, I want to know what flaws it has on the exterior. 3. Are there any tips, holes, tears or wear on the leather seats. I was told no mechanical issues, it has one dent and a few light scratches that should buff out (sent pics) and no flaws on the interior. I then gave him my debit card info to give him $500 to hold the truck for me for a few days until I was off from work and I could fly down. I paid almost $300 for a plane ticket to get from wyoming to austin. They had someone pick me up there and drive me to the dealership. I get there and immediately notice the bed looks like a golf ball, and the driver seat has a tear in it. At this point I'm pretty disappointed. I proceed to driving it. It seemed ok. A little sluggish off the start like most un tuned cummins are. I get back to the dealer and I said hey, ya know I'm pretty disappointed. I asked specifically about the seats and dents and i was assured the truck was in great shape. I'm $300 into flying down here and $500 in a deposit. I want my deposit back. They said no. I really didn't want to leave empty handed and have to find a ticket back to wyoming. I still liked the truck and finally talked them into giving me $250 back. I start my drive home. I get roughly 380 miles into my trip home and I get a check engine light. Now I'm pissed off. I get to an auto zone and have them read the codes and they are turbo related. I text the salesman and said what was going on and he asked if I was stranded and if the truck ran. I said yes. He them told me this copy and pasted via text. "We have the powertrain inspected which is the most important and most costly to repair. At the time of sale the truck was running and driving like it should or you would have not purchased it. You seemed very mechanically inclined and knew exactly what to look for since you were a previous diesel owner. If we had a machine or computer that would only let us know when parts on a truck would fail, we would not sale trucks but just charge people to let them know when they would have mechanical or electric failures. Your first text stated you were 350 miles away from our location before the first light came on. Unfortunately things happen that we can't control. All trucks are sold as is just just like you signed for on the paperwork. Feel free to call Frank... So now I get to stew for another 15hrs in a broken truck I just paid 37k for. Fast forward to getting home. I take it to the shop in town here. I ended up with a broken turbo which cost be $3000. Also within a month the brakes that were supposedly new were toast, I found that the DVD player in the head rest didn't work, and I spent $600 in pointless dent repair and still haven't paid the $500 for the top half of the ripped seat. Ready for the strange part? After all is said and done. I got no help. It was sold as is. So now I paid 37k for a truck. Put about 5k in parts into and COINCIDENTALLY the card I gave them the numbers for for a deposit mysteriously started spending money in fort Worth a few days after I got back in wyoming when I never used it for anything else.... I suggest you think twice about these people.

This is family owned and run small dealer with the common used cars and trucks with medium mileage. A small town "feel" where trust and honesty are a given. I emailed asking to be sure the car i wanted was on their lot, salesman called back in reasonable time and asked if any other vehicles I was interested in. Had seen ad on Car Gurus and another site, listed three cars, and he told me all were on lot, he'd hold the keys for next morning appt (it was too late that day). He showed me all 3, didn't try to sell me and I picked one to test drive. He sent me off on my own. I decided one was too small, and one had some 10 year worn elements and had been ridden too hard, and decided on the one I test drove. I wrote down what I wanted to pay and itemized, we agreed and I asked finance guy to run my info through his finance choices to see if better than my pre-approvals and one was. About 15 minutes at finance desk (he is a Thornhill family member) and I was out the door. Best finance visit I've ever had out of about 20 car transactions. Holiday weekend and I had no ride so I'll pick up minivan on Tues. while I use weekend to email them some papers Credit Union wants. Great car buying experience. My bestie's hubby bought truck here about 5 years ago and also had great experience. Low key, low/no pressure, willing to painlessly negotiate. No shiny showroom but good folks. There are two locations in Ft. Worth, TX.

These people are terrible, rude and disrespectful to say the least. First of all they cater to Hispanics. We went in to check out a couple cars, we waited over an hour to be helped. We waited another hour for the car to come from a different lot. The lady told us we had to put down the down payment before even seeing the car or test driving it. She handed us a document in Spanish saying that we made more money than we actually did. All of the papers were in Spanish. We already drove 40 mins there so we decided to test drive it anyway. After we left the lot the manager called telling us to bring the car back stating that it had no tags on it and we should have only drove it around the parking lot saying that she would call the police if we didn’t come back now. We told her we were having a mechanic check the car out. First of all they were supposed to put paper tags on the car anyway prior to test driving. And you cant test drive a car simply around the dam parking lot. The manager cursed at me and was very disrespectful. She said “you’re a nobody!” She got in my face screaming and yelling! Terrible customer service! The overall experience was a nightmare!!! DO NOT GO HERE. READ ALL THEIR REVIEWS THEY ARE TRUE. IF UR NOT HISPANIC YOULL MOST LIKELY BE TREATED LIKE TRASH!!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

After traveling over 100 miles to buy a car (on a Saturday), we were allowed to browse the lot at our leisure but when we asked about purchasing, we were told to come back on Monday. We informed the salesman that we traveled a long distance and were planning to buy that day and would not be back on Monday. He just shrugged and said that all the banks are closed on Saturday and it was out of his hands. THEN. as if that wasn't enough, when we tried to leave, we were locked in and not a person in sight to guide us as to how to exit the lot! After 10 minutes or so, we finally located someone who pointed us to the back of the lot. I have never seen a dealership try so hard to NOT sell a car. We went straight to another dealership where the salesmen were friendly and they stayed late to sell us a car....on a Saturday!

Buyer Beware! - Dissapointed

We recently purchased a used vehicle from us drive out. They had a decent selection of cars in the price range we were looking for. Not long after we got the car home we saw oil on the driveway so we took it to our mechanic. We are going to be out an estimated $1600 to get the car road safe. The car lot is dirt and gravel so you cannot see any leaks. There was also a broken front controller arm that would have been readily noticeable when the dealer replaced the tires. At least one of the vehicles we looked at smelled very strongly of mildew so I would look close for flooding if you do go.

So from the get-go, I was definitely treated like a valued customer. Once we got there, we were not disappointed, as all the employees were extremely helpful and tried to work with us. They even showed us similar cars to compare. I never felt rushed or pressured, and was eventually able to buy the car I wanted at a great price. You can't beat Vector Automotive prices! Do NOT buy a vehicle from Texas Whips! They are criminals! Here is my experience in as much details as possible. I bought a 2016 Dodge Challenger hellcat from them about a month ago. I did the deal remotely from Alabama, which I have done many times with other car businesses. I asked all the hard questions, if there were any significant problems, body damage, etc. The pictures and videos that were sent to me were very carefully curated as to not show the large list of problems this car had. When I took delivery at the car, it was an absolute disaster as I started to go through everything. But it was too late since I already signed the paperwork! One month of ownership and I’ve already spent over $8000 on a car that was advertised as pristine with only $34,000 miles. Here are all the problems I found with the car: 22 dings on the car. Two of them were so bad one on each door that the paintless dent guy could not pull out. Had to take to the body shop to get the doors Bondo’d and repainted. Deep clearcoat scratches on every single body panel. Over 100 to count. All four leather seats in the car have stains on them and or have had significant repair work done to them. The car did not come with any floor mats. Somebody spilled red paint in the back of the trunk on the carpet Four dry rotted tires, and two of them are completely bald on the back. Random gouges/holes in the dashboard. The car was missing the grommet and the interior door knob on drivers side. The front end of the car was wrecked at one time. This was not identified on the Carfax. All of the body panels on the front of the car were replaced at one time. I bought the car with 34,000 miles, but the front bumper had road wear, chips, and bug stains on it that were more aligned with a car that had easily over 100,000 miles. The front bumper had to be taken off, completely sanded down, and repainted. The car was missing the cold air inlet tube that goes to the cold air intake, also an indicator of front end damage. All of the engine covers on the bottom of the car are cracked or missing pieces. The passenger side trim piece that goes along the door. Three sections of it are broken in the plastic is pulling away. Will need to be replaced. Dents and random scratches/ gouges in the center console. Will need to be replaced. The license plate light was completely cut off the car. Will need a completely new wiring harness and need to be re-wired. Left side marker light was not working. Windshield had to be replaced had five cracks in it about the size of a dime. The windshield cowl had to be replaced. Large pieces of the molding had chunks of it missing. The slime and the air pump were missing from the trunk. Both hydraulics to hold the trunk up were bad. Doesn’t even stay up by itself. I’m sure I left some things out, but this is most of it. I have everything documented, receipts, invoices, pictures of all the issues time stamped with dates. I’m also currently speaking with an attorney and will also be filing a compliant with the Better Business Bureau so others like myself are not taking advantage of. These issues were brought to the attention of my salesman, the finance manager, and the GM still has yet to return my calls.

They don't even deserve 1 star! PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, everything you have read here is true. They are untrustworthy and sell junk. I agreed to buy this car with the understanding that everything my mechanic had on his list would be repaired including the non-safety items. They also promised a 1 year warranty, 3 months roadside assistance and ½ tank of gas. When I picked up the car it was only ¼ tank of gas (she claimed the mechanic had used the other ¼ tank), there was no windshield wiper fluid in the car and the nozzles for spraying the fluid didn’t work so I couldn’t clean the windshield. Also the gearshift stuck and there was no light so you could see what gear you were in. Two days after picking up the vehicle it began to stall. Ten days later the car engine light came on and I couldn’t get any power, then the engine began to smoke. When I went to call roadside assistance they said the account had expired. I had to have the car towed to their mechanic and was without a car for over 4 days. She tried to blame me saying maybe I had done something and that 10 days was a reasonable amount of time before a used car would have problems. They claim to certify and e-mission every car but that doesn’t mean it’s actually road safe. When the cars breakdown they throw you under the bus. Don’t fall for their “helpful” attitudes they will turn nasty when things go wrong. DON’T BUY from these women, they lie!
