I had purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited a year ago. On the 16th of November a pickup truck rear ended me, totaling my car. When the insurance company wrote their estimate of the value of my car I took it to the sales manager at Findlay Hyundai, Dave "Mac". He said that they were not comparing Apples with Apples and were shorting me at least $1,000.00. Dave helped me to show why and what for they should be comparing my car with a Certified car. He help them understand what it means to Hyundai to Certify a car. We do not know the results yet because all the information was just emailed to them today. I knew what kind of car I wanted and they only had 2 on the lot. So I purchased the Electric Blue one. It is a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited with lots of Bells and Whistles!!! I got it for nearly the same price I paid for my other car... It is not RED but I love my car. They bent over backwards to make it possible for me to go up north to have Thanksgiving with my family. The insurance co took my rental car from me the day before Thanksgiving!!! I never want to deal with Allstate again!
Very Comfortable with their own dishonesty - none
Ken Garff Hyundai Southtowne is very comfortable with their own dishonesty, which should be very concerning to anyone thinking of purchasing a vehicle from them.
My wife and I went to Ken Garff Hyundai Southtowne to look at trading in one of vehicles on a new Hyundai hybrid. The salesperson with whom we dealt was pleasant and knowledgeable; once the deal involved one of the "Sales Managers" the situation began to remind me of dealing with a sleazy side street used car dealer. Our time was wasted with "well this is really the best we can do," and "you shouldn't bother going to get a quote on the value of your trade elsewhere, because, we know how the other dealers operate and they are just trying to make money". Then, just like you would expect out of a sleazy side street used car dealer, once we left, they started offering market value on our trade.
This on its own is fine, they are sleazy, and they act like it; for me to leave a bad review on that alone would be like being angry at a bee for having a stinger. It was over the next few days that Ken Garff Hyundai Southtowne's willingness to disregard honor and integrity really began to show.
After the "Sales Manager" (apparently from his you tube video he is the sales manager of sales managers at that dealership) emailed me about my experience, I replied with how we felt about being treated like naive school children by his staff. He didn’t have the internal fortitude to email me back himslef, but I did start receiving text messages from his staff stating "Oh, it looks like I missed a call from you this morning". This was obviously an attempt for the "Sales Manager" to make someone else solve his problem....which is fine.....some people are simply weak....hopefully he owns it.
My main concern with his resolution tactic is that at its heart, it is a lie.... Even if I had pocket dialed the dealership it would show up in my call log....which it does not, however, if Ken Garff would like to respond to this message with the time at which I contacted them I would be happy to listen.
Be warned, if Ken Garff Hyundai Southtowne is comfortable with dishonesty, then, they are comfortable with dishonesty. For those of you out there who like the car buying experience to be a battle with a dishonest foe, or an interrogation with a liar....then you will love your experience there. However, if you are counting on Ken Garff Hyundai Southtowne to provide you with honest answers and numbers, I would suggest you make sure to be well researched and take multiple days to review the information they tell you. A liar will always be a liar, and you can count on them to do only one thing.....to lie for their own benefit.

We got the best price right out of the gate. I’d done my research so I knew. Also the 2nd car we’ve leased from them. Easy to do business with and Kevin our salesman is just great. Paperwork was fast and easy. Literally in and out in an hour. Hyundai is awesome and this dealer makes you want to buy from again. Highly recommend.

If your credit is not great & you need to get into a quality vehicle, Ken Garff Hyundai is the place to go. Six years ago we had no room to be picky & they got us into a very nice Mazda 3 that we loved for years. Today, (I wish our credit situation was better, but it’s not) they got us into a very nice Subaru SUV that we were so proud to drive home. These people care! Totally different sales people from six years ago but the culture is the same. We will go there next time too! Thank you, Ken Garff Hyundai! We are so happy with our new car!
