Lost My Trust and Future Used Car Business - A_Bell

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here and won't be going back. Here is my experience as unbiased as I can tell it: - I entered lot to see a used vehicle that had been on their lot for 3 weeks. Discussing the vehicle with the salesman, I was told the vehicle had undergone their standard used vehicle inspection and oil change. - I test drove vehicle and noted some shimmy in brakes, so I asked for the brakes to be inspected. - I left the lot to visit another dealership, then later received a call that the vehicle had not had the standard inspection and oil change as the salesman had said. They offered to replace the warped rear rotors causing the shimmy and pads, which was nice. - When I returned to the dealership, I entered the vehicle to find that the salesman or another employee had smoked in the vehicle between my test drives. It had been a non-smoking car before that point which was important to me. - With the brakes, inspection, and oil change resolved, I did a final check over the vehicle. When looking closely, I found some fluid on the left side of the bottom of the engine. The salesman didn't know what it was, so we both discussed some possible causes. He thought it might be residual fluid from the AC pump, which had been replaced. I thought it might be coming from near the water pump. I told them to check out the leak before I signed. They returned saying, "We did not identify a new leak". - I signed the papers understanding it was an "As-Is" purchase, assuming responsibility for the issues of the car but trusting their word that the fluid was a non-issue. - Within a week find the leak was still occurring (I parked on gravel the first 6 days so couldn't detect the leak). I took it to a Honda Dealership in another state where I had just relocated, and they immediately identified it as an oil leak through the front crank seal. - I had the dealership repair the issue, and then I called back Wrights to inquire about the issue. They claimed I only asked them to look around the water pump (less than 10 inches from the crank seal, fluid would have been very visible from under the car), would not respond to my inquiry into whether they kept a written report of their used car report, and did not make any effort to rectify the situation, meet me in the middle, or work to find a compromise. I can't tell whether this was an issue of lack of integrity or technical competence, but either way they've lost me as a customer.

I live 5 hours away from B&B and found a 2007 Dodge Dakota truck online through Keys & Wheels.com. I didn't want to drive that far without knowing more about the truck then be disappointed. I called and talked to Bob one day and Chad another. Both were very helpful in telling me exactly what condition the truck was in. I felt very comfortable to make the trip. I was very pleased that I did! The truck was very accurately represented and they made me a deal I couldn't refuse. I'm very happy with the truck & the more I drive it the happier I get. I would definitely recommend B & B Motors to everyone. They are very good people!

This letter was also sent to the Ford Motor Co. in Detriot, MI: 1 of 3 submissions My name is Gerald Bradford. I finalized a deal in cash to purchase a new 2005 Ford Ranger FX 4 Off-Road pick-up truck from Bert Weinman Ford Inc. on Ashland Ave in Chicago, Illinois on August 11, 2005. I traded in my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 that was also purchased at Bert Weinman Ford Inc. in August of that year. On August 9, 2005, I viewed my new 2005 truck for the first time. It was a filthy mess. I never said a word about its appearance at that time because I was assured on Thursday August 11th that it would be ready and prepared for delivery. I returned to Bert Weinman Ford Inc. on that date to trade my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 in and pick-up my new 2005 Ford Ranger FX 4 Off-Road truck. After the transaction was completed, I had a chance to view my new truck again. Due to the weather conditions, I was not able to totally inspect the vehicle the way it needed to be because it was raining that day. When I went home and after it stopped raining, I was able to thoroughly inspect my new truck. I was shocked to find out when I lifted the hood, the engine compartment was filthy and the front grill where the top meets the hood was bubbled, faded, and cracked. The bed of the truck was covered with some sort of tree sap because the finish was so faded and dull they could not initially clean it. All four tires had an average of 25 lbs. of pressure when the maximum air pressure is 44 lbs. Also one valve stem cap was missing on the right rear tire. How nobody at Bert Weinman Ford Inc. ever saw the condition of this vehicle is beyond me.

warrenty repair - leaky pan

Absolutely the worse dealership for service. I scheduled an appointment for leaking oil pan and blown rear shock. They ordered a gasket for the oil pan leak and a shock, which took over 3 weeks to get. Did not call to schedule appointment, so I called them after about a month. I was told 5 weeks till I could bring in for repair. That appointment was cancelled and quickest I could bring in was 3 weeks later, Memorial Day weekend. So this service department is either so understaffed they don't have a mechanic or they do not want to do warrenty work. 3 monthes to schedule a repair......really??? Called Van Drunen Ford, they had the parts, and scheduled the repair in 2 DAYS! Unfortunately the Bob Harper Ford did not see the BIG CRACK in the oil pan which also had to be replaced. I would NEVER refer to this dealership!

They have helped me alot and the first vehichle I got from them was making sounds it shouldnt have after I bought it and they fuxed it free if charge to me! Brad and Walter are the best! Then a year later my bravada was totalled they helped me with every step of insurance pay off and even saved a vehicle that I wanted for two weeks until everything was resolved

It was having a typical 6.4 Hemi lifter tick. they got a new motor approved and delivered. we got a phone call staying the exhaust manifold caused the new motor to blow up. they asked were could they have the truck delivered on tow truck at no cost to us. It now had a rod knocking. after a certified inspection the report deemed no new parts had been put on this truck was the original engine. enough said! BEWARE

Seeking legal action against this dealership. Sold my daughter a car stating never been wrecked. We ran carfax report and car had 2 serious accidents. She tried to bring it back within the first 10 minutes leaving dealership. Car clunks and shakes terrible in rear end. Called them asap and told her they were closing to bring car back tomorrow. When she brought car in the morning they told her sorry we already cashed the check!!! Paperwork does not match up, amounts are all different and my daughter signatures are on papers she’s never seen before. I asked their receptionist twice to see the actual paperwork and never received them Waited 3 hours in the waiting room to speak with general manager and he ignored us! Contacted Ford company themselves to report them and have case started, Ford attempted to contact the Sales and General managers both yesterday by phone and was told by Dixon Ford they were both out for the day. When the case manager from Ford told me that….. I was standing right outside his glass office looking at him. He hadn’t left his office the whole 3 hours we had been there. They advertise on their webpage that they are gold and blue ford certified, woman I talked to from Ford Motor Company stated they are not certified at all! Buyer beware.

I had my service trucks serviced on 9/16/16. I had the oil / filter change and the fuel filter changed on our diesel, drove less then 100 miles and it burst into flames. What happened? It is a new truck that is completly stock and only been serviced by a dealer.

I let Webb service this gasket and had no problem until The wife drove the van to West Virgina through the mountains. Bam! The engine blew and I had to buy a new engine in Mt.Airy, NC. Anyway, when I got back to Chicago<br>I called Webb and told them what had happened, they said bring in the repair bill and they would see if Ford Motor would refund my money for the head gasket. The results were positive and I received<br>a refund. Happy-Happy.

Several times the service people were rude on the phone. When we got the van back FINALLY it was awefully dirty inside and STUNK! I wil NEVER NEVER return there!
