Would not recommend buying a car from these guys to anyone. I bought a Nissan Altima with 60,000 miles from them a little over a month ago. Two weeks after buying the car the transmission completely went out. When I called the dealership they told me to get it towed to them and they would put a new transmission in it. I then had it towed back to Ames Cars (for $480). The next day Buddy called me and said that they would now only pay for half the transmission. So now, I have not only been out almost $14,000, but an additional nearly $500, haven't had a car for 3 weeks - having to pay to uber/lyft everywhere, and they still expect me to pay for half the transmission. Long story short... do not buy a car from Ames Cars. They will screw you over every chance they get.

I am writing this email to inform you that I'm not satisfied with the way you and the finance guy handled the deal of my Volkswagen jetta. First you sold it to me for 15900 and it was listed at 14900 on your internet site. second even 14900 is way over priced. according to Kelly blue book the car is only worth 13085 so it is sad that you even made a deal like this with me. second the trade in on it is only worth 9150 so I owe 16500 on this and it is not worth much more than half that...Wow you really screwed me on this deal.. my mustang trade was worth 14000 and I owed 14400 now I'm really screwed on this vehicle. So thank you for really putting me upside down... I will never buy another vehicle from you or auto edge as long as I live and it really makes me sad because I thought you were my friend and I thought I could trust you. remember I buy a lot of cars at least 1 a year for me and my wife, and I am the one that my family comes to for help when they want to buy a car. I will never recommend anyone I know to go to auto edge to buy a vehicle. I also want you to know that I will be posting a negative review of auto edge online as well as a negative review of you as a salesperson online...
