Warning to any potential visitors to this dishonest dealership. Their word seems to mean nothing so be sure to get every aspect of your deal in writing but better yet, don’t do business with them. My dealership. Their word seems to mean nothing so be sure to get every aspect of your deal in writing but better yet, don’t do business with them. My daughter and I turned in a leased Kia Sorento and took out a 3 year lease on a new Kia Sportage on Dec 31, 2025 at their encouragement to take advantage of year-end incentives. The sales manager said he would wave the excess mileage fee and take care of the extra payment on the turned-in Kia Sorento as part of our new lease agreement that was finalized. In Feb 2026, out of the blue, we received an invoice from Kia Finance corporate saying we owed over $1000. We explained that the dealer said they would cover the items listed in that invoice as part of our new lease. Kia Finance replied in that case, Gateway Kia would have to notify them to remove that fee. Shockingly, the Gateway Kia sales manager and owner refused to honor the deal made with us by their other sales mgr. (no longer there) and told us we should have gotten it in writing. They questioned our integrity after we spent weeks trying to resolve it. Finally, they offered to pay 50% still insisting we are to blame and implying we must be lying. After back to back Kia’s, we are very disappointed in this shady dealership and offer dire warnings if you decide to take a chance on them. Do not buy from them. More
