Hello MrBuckWheat, I am very sorry that you feel we engaged in false advertising. My name is Kacie Brown and I take full responsibility for the misprint. It is my job to double-check all advertising to make sure there are no misleading claims. As you can see in the link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FkO_Dq508Q We did get the combination correct with an OR instead of PLUS. I was in charge of producing that commercial and the script. It was also my job to double check the Toyotathon landing page that you feel had misleading claims. Unfortunately, I was out of the office and a third party graphic designer took the webpage live before I proofed it. Now this does not make up for how you feel or the service you received while you were here. This series of events does not happen often and I was out visiting family over the holidays. It is our intention to serve our customers with honesty and integrity and I can promise you this was a true and honest mistake. They could have made it right with me when I was at the dealership to purchase the truck. I was charged 2.9% interest on a loan that rightfully should have been at the advertised rate of 0%. The way to make it right would be to honor the 0% rate or to give me a check for the interest that I am going to pay on the loan. That is how I am sure you would expect to be treated if you came into my business for an advertised special and then I told you.....no....that was a mistake. We really didn't mean that, even though we published it on our website and had the word PLUS in CAPITAL letters.

The way this has been handled is totally unacceptable. I would think that someone from management would want to address this issue at this point. My next step will to be to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the Kansas Attorney General's Office. False advertising or bait and switch as this turns out to be is illegal in Kansas.
