Deception and no help I recently purchased a used 2004 Toyota Tundra from this dealership. Here is the letter I sent to the used car manager; Mr. McClarey I purchased I recently purchased a used 2004 Toyota Tundra from this dealership. Here is the letter I sent to the used car manager; Mr. McClarey I purchased the above vehicle in April of this year. I was excited to purchase it as it had only 44,000 miles and was from Virginia and priced at $15,499, so I assumed it was in good condition. I test drove the truck with the salesman and when I hit about 40 MPH I heard a rubbing type noise coming from the what I thought at that time was the left front of the truck. The salesman heard it also. After the test drive the salesman took it in the back and had it put on the lift to see if we could locate the source of the noise. The mechanic said it was the heat shield on the left front brake was bent and rubbing against the tire. He bent it back and I thought ok it is fixed. I accepted this explanation as your service department had replaced the left axle and this can happen easily. I was going to purchase the truck the next day, but the salesman called me and said the truck had already been purchased. So I continued looking for another truck. On that Saturday the salesman called me back and said that the purchase had fell through. He said that the person who was going to buy the truck wanted something bigger. I immediately said I would purchase the truck. I had been driving a 2000 Tundra that I liked very much, with 170,000 miles on it and very few problems. So I came to the dealership and purchased the truck. I assumed that the problem with the rubbing noise had been fixed. However after about 3 days I began hearing the noise again. I thought that maybe it would go away. After about another week I called the salesman and told him I wanted to bring the truck in and have the problem fixed. I was given the number for the service department to make an appointment. When I contact the service department I was told by the lady I talked to that the department was only open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. I work in St. Paul, 8am-4:30pm. There was no way I could bring the truck in without taking time off from work. I asked her if I could get a loaner car and she said that you do not provide that service. I was frustrated so I took the truck to my local shop to have the problem diagnosed. They said it was a problem in the rear differential and that since they do not perform that type of work I would have to take it to a transmission shop. I took the truck to an AAMCO shop and they diagnosed it as the bearings in the rear differential were bad. I had purchased an extended warranty with the truck so I did not worry too much about having it fixed. However the warranty would not cover the repairs as they deemed it was not a catastrophic failure. Bottom line. I had to pay $2500.00 out of my own pocket on something that should have been repaired by your service shop. This problem was noticed on the test drive, not fixed even though I was told it was, I was lied to about your service department hours as I learned it is open until 9pm on the weekdays and is open on weekends when I was told it was not. I am very unhappy with this purchase, I will never recommend your dealership to anyone and I will write every bad review I can. I was lied to, deceived, and the problem heard by your salesman on the test drive was not fixed and should have been diagnosed when the used car check was done when you purchased the truck from auction. How do I know the truck was purchased at auction. I am not new to the used vehicle purchasing world. I took a chance and trusted your salespeople and service people. I will never again. When I got there, Bob was busy with another costumer so a different salesman was assigned to me temporarily and one of the first things he asked was: "how far do you plan on going today (look around, test drive, finance, etc)?" And I probably would have walked out right then if Bob hadn't gotten freed up. He was very laid back, casual about everything, and didn't pressure me into buying the car, which made it really easy to logically think out if the car was right for me. This made my first time buying a car amazing; zero stress or pressure! Overall it was a very pleasant experience! More

From the quick response to my email to when Bob put the keys to my new car in my hand was a very smooth, fun process. They had just got a new phonr system and still working out the kinks but everyone was taking it in stride and cracking jokes. As a female I was worried about the buying process, I know a lot about cars but some places treat woman differently, that was not the case here. Bob Patterson took great care of me and would recommend asking for him if you want to enjoy your car buying experience. More

I called first after finding the vehicle online. When I asked for a better price, the young lady was a tad snotty, saying " we don't negioate. The price you see is the best you can get." Wow! Almost turned me off,except I had been looking for this vehicle all over the state. My faith was restored when I met the the bright and smiley face of Bob Patterson. He was very classy and pleasant to work with. very Professional too. He explained everything to the tee. He Explained who we were going to be talking to for after market, and for financing. Everything went smooth and there were no surprises. We picked up my brand new ice blue "frosted glass" Escape on Friday and I just love it. Bob explained every knob, every service, and my wonderful Sync. I love it and I would definitely recommend Bob to anyone looking for a vehicle. I love my ESCAPE!!!! He even was tolerant of my "senior moment"! And you wonder why I rated this company very high. I still have questions, but its called reading the manual. Otherwise I will be calling Bob. :) Thanks. I have been to a number of car dealers recently so I know what to expect! So after driving 4 1/2 hours to apple vally ford I was ready. I walked in with my sleeves rolled up, ready for anything. I met Bob Pa what to expect! So after driving 4 1/2 hours to apple vally ford I was ready. I walked in with my sleeves rolled up, ready for anything. I met Bob Patterson for the first time. Bob came forward with this fantastic smile and confidence.Friendly, happy ,professional.After introductions I'm still ready for him! From the start he showed class. My sleeves start to unroll some. We looked at the truck and talked about the price we already discussed. Every thing went so smooth and easy. I watched for Bob to slip up somewhere. He didn"t!!! Bob showed the highest degree of class,honest, experience I have ever seen. We now have our new truck exactly what i wanted and for an excellent price. well worth the drive!!! Soon our daughter will be ready for a new car and we will come back to see Bob Patterson at apple valley ford. She was with us on this trip and her drive will be 7 hrs one way, and well worth the trip. See you again soon Bob. Also a close friend is looking to drive up soon. Bob Paterson and the whole staff went out of their way to make me happy! I purchased a 2011 Ford Taurus and it just did not seem to run very well. They tried to fix it but I was still not happy with the vehi make me happy! I purchased a 2011 Ford Taurus and it just did not seem to run very well. They tried to fix it but I was still not happy with the vehicle. Instead of leaving it alone they went way out of the way to make me happy. The whole staff helped me pick out the perfect vehicle! They took the Taurus back and I purchased a new Fusion. I could not be more happy. I will refer everyone I know to Apple Valley Ford. If you are looking for a new or used car and you have not been to Apple Valley Ford stop what you are doing and head to Apple Valley Ford. They definitely know what customer service is all about. Bob was an excellent salesperson. He listened to what I needed and helped me pick out the right vehicle. There was no high pressure sales from him to make me feel uncomfortable.
