Slimy sales guys. God-awful, avoid this place at all costs. Instead of having a great sales experience, I was yelled at by Zach, a grown man, on the phone. Today I gav God-awful, avoid this place at all costs. Instead of having a great sales experience, I was yelled at by Zach, a grown man, on the phone. Today I gave him a call about a used Jaguar. The second he picked up, he met me with extreme hostility. I mention I have some concerns about the car. The PPI mentioned that the brake pads are wearing unevenly, and I was concerned there was possibly rust and that the brake caliper was sticking. So I asked for a mechanic to check it out. The car had 16k miles from Indiana alone, and the car was in snow and salt. Reasonable concern, right? He took it as if I was attacking him. He raises his voice at me and tells me repeatedly "there's no damage," that "it's his old car," and "I'm not sending out any mechanics to look at it." Also, my favorite: "You're buying a used vehicle, just buy a new car then." So then I try to convince him to at least get me some pictures of the brake caliper. His response again was dismissive: I'm not doing that, there's nothing wrong with the car, and anyways, if there was, the Jaguar warranty would cover it. Keep in mind that was 4 straight minutes trying to convince him to show me a car that I was willing to purchase today. I'm not located in Indiana, and I'm buying the car completely unseen, so I wanted some reassurances I'm not going to get burned. After that went nowhere, I mention how the rear tires are going to need to be replaced soon. The tread is at 6 and will need to be replaced at a 4. He tells me, "I'm not putting new tires on that. It's a used vehicle. Buy a new vehicle if you want new tires." I tell him I'll buy it at full price with the tires, but if he won't include the tires, I would offer 59k. He then says the lowest he can go on the car is 61k. Funny, though, because 3 days ago Cameron offered me the car at 60k, which I called him out on. I also mention I have no photos of the damage on the car or the rims in case of curb rash. He goes, "THERE'S NO DAMAGE." I say, "You literally texted me a week ago saying there were a few rock chips." Even the Carfax says there is damage on the car. He goes, "Oh. I'll get Cameron to do that. But there's nothing for you to worry about." I'm honestly, stupidly, still trying to salvage this deal, so I mention the numbers again and tell him, "Let's try to make something work here. Don't throw away a good deal over tires." He then tells me, "No, I'm not doing that, and you know what, ma'am? Bye-bye." He hangs up the phone. To be fair, I should have ended the call sooner. I was just surprised how disrespectful he was and how he was trying to sabotage the deal. You can't make a good deal with a bad person. Buying a car is supposed to be a pleasant experience, especially when you're shelling out 60 thousand dollars. Who yells at someone who's willing to spend sixty thousand dollars? Someone like that shouldn't represent any dealership. What a terrible experience! Super shady, obviously hiding something about the car. Why else would you meet me with such hostility? Anywho, I'll be glad to hand my 60k to a dealership that A) would be transparent about the car and B) isn't disrespectful. Good day! More
