Chris Gough is a real life unicorn Jennifer Holish values customer service above all else I had an unbelievable experience at Volvo of Lisle. I finally found a great deal on a Volvo at a dealership and was really close to signing on the spot, I held off though and told them I wanted to think about it over night but I would reach out the next day. I was pretty set on this car as it was a tremendous deal. I decided to drop a few lines out to other Volvo dealerships with comparable vehicles to the one I was about to sign just to make sure I was getting as good of a deal as I knew I was. I was going to allocate 2hrs to this endeavor before calling up the dealership I met with the night before and signing that deal. I put an inquiry out to Volvo of Lisle and within 2min I was on the phone with Chris Gough. I was very open and straightforward about where I stood and the deal that I had with the other dealership. He told me to give him 10min and he would come up with something. He called me back with a Volvo of the same model I was looking at but fully loaded for only a little bit more per month on the monthly for the lease. After deliberating for some time I decided that it was a better deal and I’d take it. I called Chris back and he took down all my info and ran my credit and had me approved in minutes. My search for a car brought me through interacting with 12 dealerships, 4 brands, and approximately 15 salespeople and managers. I’d seen all the kinds of salespeople you could imagine, the good the bad and the REALLY bad. Chris was different though, he didn’t feel like a salesperson at all. He felt like an old friend who legitimately wanted to help me out. This is why I felt like Chris is a real life unicorn as I mentioned above. You won’t find another person at a dealership like him. We set a time to meet up at the dealership the next day and went from there. I show up and Chris greeted me warmly. It was an hour drive to get to Volvo of Lisle but getting the deal I was getting and dealing with a seriously real person like Chris made it worth the hassle. The car was ready when I showed up and I got a quick tour and then we went in to Jennifer Holish’s office. Jennifer Holish is a SUPERSTAR. You’ll find out why shortly. So we were going over some details and some complications came up in the negotiations that I wasn’t comfortable with. Jennifer Holish immediately put my concerns at ease by telling me that they will make this deal right and they’ll make me feel great about it. She said that they would give me the next model up for the same exact price per month (she’s really unbelievable, and I thank her so much for doing what she did). Chris agreed with her and I was OVER THE MOON. They went from me not feeling 100% comfortable with the deal to feeling 100000% satisfied and more with the outcome. I was absolutely stunned by how much Jennifer Holish and Chris Gough cared about a customer and about going above and beyond. After we sealed the deal Chris gave me his Cell phone number and told me that I can call or text him any time up until 9:30pm any day because when you drive off that’s not when your relationship ends. He remains available to his customers to answer any questions and be of help through the life of the deal. Some dealerships only really care about how many cars they can push out the door. Volvo of Lisle and their star personnel like Jennifer and Chris care about fostering relationships that will last a lifetime. More
