On 10/14, I left my car with Colin to check the shifting sensor on my 2017 Jeep Cherokee sport that I bought new at this dealership. He told me it would take a couple hours to check it out. It took all day sensor on my 2017 Jeep Cherokee sport that I bought new at this dealership. He told me it would take a couple hours to check it out. It took all day for them to let me know it would need to be replaced for $1750. The part was ordered and was to be in Wed. But didn’t arrive until Thurs. i brought my car back home on Tuesday. As I needed it and was to bring the car back when the part came arrived. Before I could take my Caron Tuesday. I had to pay $301.95. Colin had told me the canaries would be $220. I paid the $309, and after I looked at my receipt, there was a charge of $37.16 for environmental fee/ shop supplies.At this point, they had done nothing to my car, except maybe diagnostic testing??? After thinking about this, I decided to get a second opinion from a former mechanic. He did the testing, ordered the part( approximately $100) , and installed it in about 30 min.for a total of $260. I feel I was taken advantage of of, and treated unfairly . Besides buying the car from there, I have had it serviced many times, and have bought tires. I like the car, but I feel the that is a big difference in prices. I talked to Colin about this and he questioned where the part was bought. I replied that I can buy 7 shifters for $1750. I am not blaming Colin unless he works on commission. He was kind and professional. I have researched these sensors and find that it is common for them to go out in jeeps. Maybe manufacturing needs to look into that. More
