After HS I joined the US Army and served in the Iraq war. When I returned I started selling cars and never looked back. I have over 14 years of dealership experience. I am married to my wife, Mary, of 11 years and we have three beautiful daughters, Addy (9), Paisley(7) and Scarlett(5). We relocated to West Fargo in May of 2019. The dealership is professional and has a team like approach. Lucien was a very intelligent, courteous and attended to detail with polish and an obvious commitment to Corwin. I met several other members of the Corwin team and all were friendly and made it clear they wanted a successful sale. However, I do have a few concerns and one came to my attention in the final step of signing papers. I I thought they should've offered me more for my trade in because I believe they will be making a nice profit when they sell it . It's a year newer , has low mileage 1/4 of the vehicle I purchased and top of the line floor mats. I asked if they would throw in some better floor mats but they denied my request . The last concern which came to my attention as I was signing papers was the interest rate I'll be paying on my loan at the bank they are using. I was told it would probably be around 5% but it was 6.99% !!! very high. I will end this on a positive note by saying they have a beautiful facility which is customer friendly and again will acknowledge the team support way of doing things at Corwin. More

Lie About Ford Warranty On Carfax WarrantyTM Very disappointed in Corwin Honda's constant lies, and failure to process paperwork per contract. Clearly, Corwin Honda has the market in Fargo on Us Very disappointed in Corwin Honda's constant lies, and failure to process paperwork per contract. Clearly, Corwin Honda has the market in Fargo on Used Ford vehicles, especially Ford sedans. I urge all consumers to check Corwin's website, and view the helpful link to Carfax, WarrantyTM section. It clearly shows the remaining, transferrable, no-cost Ford warranties that COME WITH THE CAR. I did my research on this. However, after my bank had already approved my loan, and the Corwin Honda used Ford I wanted, Kevin O'Keefe and a man named "Kyle" No Last Name told me I had to be approved by Corwin. That "Corwin approval" process was them merely telling me my car "no longer had a Ford warranty available to me", and the Carfax warrantyTM I saw for my car on their website was "no longer available to me". (I confirmed with Ford the next day that the Carfax warrantyTM on Corwin Honda's website had been correct.) Corwin used this to sell me a "no value" Power Train Warranty" by: Lie 1. Emphatically telling me my car no longer had a Ford warranty, Lie 2. Physically Pointing to Gold and Platinum coverages in a brochure, that were NOT the coverages they sold me, Lie 3:Said cost was $30/mo.; instead it was over $51/mo., Lie 4: Gave me $250 deductible, when I found out later the "standard" deductible was $100. All of these lies, and misrepresentations meant that I was sold a Power Train Warranty that had no value or purpose. This is because the very limited coverages (of only bolts and nuts) I was sold by Corwin Honda would never exceed the $250 (non-standard) deductible. Also, no one would tell me the last name or company of Kevin O'Keefe's partner in this selling of the Power Train Warranty. I was just told his name was "Kyle", and he was brought in to see if I "qualified with Corwin Honda", even though they told me my bank had already approved my loan on the car. This unuseable Power Train Warranty cost me $2,000. But the existing, transferrable Ford Warranty with 20,000 miles and 2.5 years left had no deductible, covered all power train parts, and was free. Even after I immediately cancelled this PTW the next day, by certified letter to Fidelity Warranty Services, and they, in turn wrote Corwin to immediately cancel and refund the $2,000 to my bank, Kevin O'Keefe would not do it. It has been a month. I have Mr. O'Keefe's voicemail messages to me. This led to my bank telling me that I had to not only pay the $2,000 for a non-existent PTW, I have to pay interest on it. Even if it is cancelled. Lastly, after 6 weeks, Corwin Honda still has not titled or registered my vehicle, or paid the taxes. I paid Corwin Honda $299 in "administrative fees" plus all title, regisration and tax fees to do this. I have in writing from Corwin that "they can take up to 3 months" to do this, because "the DMV offices are backed up 3 months". In fact, DMV wrote me they are only one week behind, and Dealers have only 10 days to get the paperwork to them. Do the math. If Corwin Honda is selling about 2,000 cars a month, and the average sale price is at least $20,000, and they take 3 months to process the paperwork, they get to hold on to about $2.8 million in monthly sales tax for 3 months. Not to mention collecting about $598K in administrative fees. each month. Consumers do not have the luxury to title/register late like this. Obviously, this doesn't happen for every sale. But, I caution buyers to go ahead and use Corwin's Carfax WarrantyTM reports attached to each used car they sell. These Carfax reports are accurate. But, if Corwin Honda Finance tells you the warranties you see on Carfax are "no longer available for your car", walk out and go somewhere else. I will say one bright shining star in my experience was Ty Small, and he wasn't even my salesperson. Ty was willing to look into the matter to me. He seemed to understand that not swindling the customer means that they will come back for another car, and refer friends. Any dealiership should be proud to have him on their staff. I didn't list him in this customer comment, because he was the only employee who understood how I was affected as a customer, and cared that this not be a standard practice in his dealership.
