The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta SE one. Four turbo that I had diagnose had a popping sound on the front and the service advisor stated that it was the caliper bolts. I asked the service advisor what was the price, the service advisor informed me that it was going to be $160.00 to re thread and add new bolts. I told the service advisor that it seems skittle fishy to me, I told him that I would take it home and have someone to inspect it. When I had a chance, I took the wheel off on the driver side front, it was the slider pins that needed to be replaced not the caliper bolts. I spent $7.59 and it’s fixed. I called the next day and spoke with the service manager and asked him why would the service advisor tell me that it was the caliper bolts? He said that he was going to look into it. When he calls me back, he said he is unsure why but since everything was free, don’t worry about it. I asked him then why did he state false information? Why did he say that the caliper had to be re-threaded? Why did he state something that was wrong with the car when it wasn’t even the correct component error? Service manager could not provide me a clear direct answer. I will not be dealing with Danny the service advisor again. I may not come back to that dealership again. They’ve been excellent for 2 years had a few mistakes, but we are human. But this is no mistake attempting to charge a customer that has been with VW for 2 years for service for incorrect vehicle component to make more money. I left a review on my Facebook, advising be aware of this dealership service department and it received over 300 shares. More
