I’m happy to discuss this publicly. Your salesman lied to me about the car. Saying the problem with the top was just a sensor that had a recall and he thought the replacement came in that day . Maserati confirmed there was no recall. The problem with the convertible top could not be fixed. During my approximate six months of ownership the dealership had the car the vast majority of the time with the top working for two weeks of the six months. The convertible. is about a thirty thousand dollar option on this car. I was also told the car came with four years free scheduled maintenance. However when I picked it up I had to fight to get two years scheduled maintenance. Please keep in mind by the time I went to pick it up your dealership had already received all the money for the car. I paid for the car by sell stock which cost me over forty grand in taxes so it would have been very difficult for me to say I don’t want it at that point. During my six months of ownership I had the car approximately five weeks. The six months worth of insurance cost me just over$2,000. During this time I was constantly in touch with Maserati who did nothing but stall for months. They refused to even pick up any portion of my insurance expenses. I really should’ve sued for punitive damages. The story ended with them refunding my money and me returning a car. This is the exact minimum that could be done if I exercise the lemon law which it obviously met so they did nothing for me, but the car retained some value cause the next poor guy will not know the problems we had.
