Terrible trying to buy a car experience. After 3 days of trying to buy, I was told that they would not take my PNC ready check, which I have used for the last 4 vehicles I purchased. Needless to say, I went online, found the same vehicle at another dealership, and it took me 2 hours to be closed and delivered on a new vehicle. I will never recommend LaFontaine to anyone purchasing or service of a vehicle. More

Previous purchases in other states ( I am not from Michigan) had taught me to be cautious. From the beginning we were not pounced on by the sales staff, rather we were greeted with a knowledgeable representative (Dave Gough). I was surprised because my past experience led me to expect the staff to be clueless. No only was the transaction easy, the F&I team did not pressure us into extra items. They did explain options but respected our choices. Dave then spent a good deal of time showing us how to operate all the features on and in the vehicle. With a modern vehicle it can be confusing and he has contacted me to make sure I don't have any problems. He even help me set up on star. This is the way a major purchase should be, but is rare in my experience. I would highly recommend this dealership and Dave in particular. More

We are always greeted with a smile and friendliness by everyone we encounter. Our service tech Frank Maroudis greets us like we are family. He is very knowledgable about all of our vehicles recommending service that needs to be performed and future services that we should consider. If Frank is on vacation or not in when we call we will wait until he returns to make an appointment. I think that says it all! We are extremely satisfied with LaFontaine and look forward to all future experiences with them. More

I knew what I wanted because I was replacing a 201 Earlier this year I leased a 2015 Traverse LTZ from Dave Gough and it was a satisfying experience. I knew what I wanted because I was replacing a 2010 Traverse. Dave's challenge was to find the exact vehicle I wanted. Which he did with timely efficiency. When we decided to replace our 2009 Malibu in June, I contacted Dave again. This time we weren't sure what we wanted, so the challenge was a bit greater. After test driving, comparing options and costs, we decided that the 2015 Buick Regal was the best choice. Another great experience! Upon meeting him in person Dave gave me a full tour of the awesome environmentally LaFontaine facility in Highland, Michigan, truly amazing. The vehicle I purchased was for my 16yo daughter and Dave spent well over an hour of his time with us going over every feature of the Buick Verano as well as getting us setup with bluetooth and OnStar. Overall a great experience, I've already asked Dave to start working on a search for my next car, a 2014 Z28 ( not for my daughter :) ). Mike Wells the finance/business manager was equally as accomodating, explaining all the paperwork, incentives and options available to me while not being "pushy" or "off putting". if you've dealt with many dealership finace guys you'll understand how unique and welcome that is. Overall this was a 5 star experience. Given that LaFontaine represents and can deliver vehicles from some 15+ manufacturers I don't see myself ever considering shopping for an automobile anywhere else. I will recommend Dave, Mike and LaFontaine to everyone I know and everyone reading this review. 10/10. More
