Very mysterious experience. I went in to the dealership in Aug to trade in my 2017 Forester for a 2019 after receiving MANY mailings offering me the same car for a few dollars mo I went in to the dealership in Aug to trade in my 2017 Forester for a 2019 after receiving MANY mailings offering me the same car for a few dollars more. Andy Wong was the salesman. He was very nice. He showed me the sport model on the floor. We sat at his desk as I told him the “must haves”. He walked a way for a few minutes and came back with a price per month. It was $47 a month more than than my current car. He said he would have it in 2 weeks in green but he’d try for red with all the “must haves”. I left a deposit. Two weeks later I called, he said it would be another two weeks. Again I called, it was in Boston and was waiting transport, it would be red. Finally after 6 weeks I called and he said it would be in on Monday in green, not red. I made an appointment for Mon at 2pm. When I arrived at the appointed time another salesmen, Dimitri, said he would show me the car because Andy was in a meeting with the big boss. After 45 minutes I knew my new car well. We went inside. I waited another 45 minutes for Andy to be finished with his meeting upstairs. Maybe I am old fashioned but if I had an appointment for 2pm the big boss should have waited, not me, the customer. When Andy finally came down he had papers for me to sign. I asked for details like; how much is the new car, what was the trade-in value on my old car, what the interest rate? He seemed confused by my questions. He stuck to the original monthly payment he had told me 6weeks ago, and proceeded to tell me he was able to get a lower interest rate. Since I have made another payment and the interest went down why was the monthly payment not lower. He disappeared again. He came back with a lower monthly payment. At this point I was losing confidence in him. I felt like the deal was happening in a very mysterious way. As the customer I need to know what I am paying for. He gave me the sticker from the window and said, “there, that is the price”. Shouldn’t I have a written contract with the details? He finally produced the contract for me to sign. It was now 4:30pm. Why did it take so long to complete this transaction when I had an appointment and Andy had all my info in advance? A very frustrating afternoon! It was not a pleasurable experience. Lucky for you Subarus sell themselves. This is my 4th Forester. I just hope when trade-in time comes around your dealership is more customer oriented. If I wanted an impersonal experience I could have bought it online. More

computers versus people Computers were down when we arrived for a 2PM appointment. One hour 40 minutes later we were in finance mgrs office after being told 5 minutes.
