I first came to Charles Boyd in the early 199? with a warranty recall on a vehicle that I had purchased at another dealer with whom I had had problems with service. I first called the service manager and ask if he could help me, I was assured that he would be happy to. I came in he took care of me in a very professional manner. He and I started talking and he said I tell the salesmen here that they sell the first vehicle but I sell the rest for them. He proved that to be true with me. This makes the fifth vehicle that I have purchased here and I have always been treated well by all personnel. I have moved much further away since I first came to Charles Boyd and I drove by another very large dealership on my way here but I still came Back. More

Reason for visit.. Since the interest rates had dropped,I stopped by to see if I could get my car payment lowered because I'm retired and on a fixed income. Was told by sales manager that the dealership didn stopped by to see if I could get my car payment lowered because I'm retired and on a fixed income. Was told by sales manager that the dealership didn't do that, but could trade up for a lower interest rate. The two cars that they showed us were demos. I told them there were certain features that I NEEDED, on the car, so I chose between the two, and was assured that all the features were on the car. Was never asked if I wanted to test drive. There WAS NOT a buyers guide on the car, anywhere. I ask to see the buyers guide and was told,it didn't come with the car, but sales person said she would see if she could find it. While we were waiting to see the buyers guide, the finance manager was busy typing up the paperwork and he also assured us that everything we were looking for was on the car. The price of the new car was reasonable, so we decided to buy it. BIG MISTAKE!!! we took them at their word, since we had bought at least a dozen new cars from the dealership and had not been swindled and lied to. Even the person that is in charge of the dealership, told us that we were getting a DEAL. I ask him about the buyers guide and he said he would get us a copy. It is my understanding that by law, the buyers guide has to be predominately displayed on the car. When we drove the car home, we found out it only had one feature we wanted, back up camera. Took the car back the next morning and told them we were not happy with what we had been pressured into buying and was told the only two options we had was to keep the new car or buy back the one we traded in. We decided to buy back our old car. Again the finance person had already typed up the contract and rushed us to sign. It was a 2018 malibu, the new was a 2020 Malibu..we were duped again. They inflated the price and we had to buy back the 2018 for the same price as the 2020. Will never do business with this dealership again. It's a shame what a salesman will do to to make a sale, and even worse, the owner of the dealership allows it to happen. Done with Charles Boyd Chevrolet. More
