Very disappointing first experience — questionable service recommendations Today was our first time servicing our 2023 Hyundai Venue at this dealership. The vehicle has only 23,300 miles, and my wi service recommendations Today was our first time servicing our 2023 Hyundai Venue at this dealership. The vehicle has only 23,300 miles, and my wife brought it in for a routine oil change. What happened was extremely disappointing. The service advisor presented my wife with almost $800 in additional recommended services, including: * Brake fluid replacement/flushing * Engine coolant replacement * A/C evaporator case service * Four-wheel alignment Fortunately, my wife did not authorize these additional services. I have the computer-printed document listing the recommended services and the service advisor’s name, so this is not simply a misunderstanding or a verbal recollection. For a vehicle with only 23,300 miles, these recommendations seem excessive and raise serious questions about whether they were actually necessary at this mileage and whether the recommendations were based on the vehicle’s maintenance requirements or an attempt to sell additional services. What makes this especially frustrating is that my wife was the one who brought the vehicle in. I sincerely hope these recommendations were not influenced by the assumption that she might be less likely to question unnecessary maintenance. Regardless of the reason, presenting nearly $800 in additional work during a basic oil-change visit is unacceptable without clearly explaining why each service is necessary according to Hyundai’s maintenance schedule. This is not the way to build trust with a new customer. We came to the dealership expecting honest, manufacturer-based service recommendations, and instead left feeling like we had to question everything we were being told. I strongly recommend that customers get a second opinion and check the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule before authorizing expensive “recommended” services. Very disappointing experience, especially for our first visit. More

The Service Dept. is terrible. Making an appointment means nothing. The management doesn't care about their customers. Plus, they will change your appointment time wit is terrible. When I bought my Santa Fe Sport in 2017, I was told of all kind of warranties I could buy extra, that I all declined then, and the end the sales man said, well you have anyway the 100,000 miles or 10 year all kind of warranties I could buy extra, that I all declined then, and the end the sales man said, well you have anyway the 100,000 miles or 10 year Power Train warranty. I took it as one of those things you probably never will get if you need it. Now 8 years and exactly 60,000 miles further, I got a serious problem with the engine and one of my mechanic friends told me that I probably would need a new engine. I went to the dealer Rick Case and was told to leave the car so they could check it out, in the afternoon I got a text from the service advisor Aaron Clark, confirming that indeed I needed a new engine, of course I was worried about the costs. After confirming that I was the original first owner he said that he would apply for the Power Train warranty. To make a long story short, I am driving my eight year old Santa Fe with a new engine, like new, drove a courtesy rental car during the time my car was in the workshop and was being held up to date by Aaron Clark during the time my car was in the work shop. Received my car all cleaned and shiny, excellent job Rick Case! More
I am posting this review to document an experience that reflects a serious lack of professionalism and integrity at Rick Case Hyundai (Davie). On the day prior to purchase, I was explicitly and unequivo reflects a serious lack of professionalism and integrity at Rick Case Hyundai (Davie). On the day prior to purchase, I was explicitly and unequivocally assured that a specific vehicle was 100% promised and held for me for completion of the transaction the following day: 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy This was not casual conversation or speculation. This commitment was communicated clearly by dealership management, including Cristian Perez and Rino Rodriguez, leaving no ambiguity that the vehicle was secured and reserved for me. Relying on these assurances, I returned the next day fully prepared to complete the purchase. At that point, I was informed that the vehicle had been sold to another customer. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a fundamental breach of trust. Promising a specific vehicle and selling it the following day demonstrates unethical sales practices and a complete disregard for a customer’s time, intent, and good faith. What made the situation worse was the absence of accountability afterward. Instead of ownership or a meaningful attempt to correct the error, the response shifted toward deflection, as if the prior assurances had never been made. For a dealership operating under a major automotive brand, this behavior is unacceptable. It undermines consumer confidence and reflects poorly not only on this location, but on the Hyundai brand as a whole. I strongly advise prospective buyers to get every promise in writing and to exercise extreme caution when relying on verbal commitments from this dealership’s management. Trust is the foundation of any transaction. Here, it was broken decisively. More
Visited the dealer to purchase a Kona and was met at the door by Kamal who very bad breath. Droves around the lot to find the new car in a used, dirty car. After about an 1.5hrs we couldn't come to terms. door by Kamal who very bad breath. Droves around the lot to find the new car in a used, dirty car. After about an 1.5hrs we couldn't come to terms. They wanted over $2,500 in extra fees added i.e. $899 dealer fee non "negotable". He channlaged us to find a better deal anywhere!!! Guess what, we went to KING MOTORS HYUNDAI and found a better deal. No money down, no dealer fee, no admin fee etc....very happy with our purchase. Kamal and his bad breath should use a mounth wash and stop making statements he can't back up. Rick Case slogan says that they treat their customers like family!!!! Wow, time to get a new family.
