For the first time in many years I experienced the worst service ever! What should have taken maybe a half of a day, took almost 2 days and lots of issues. I took my car to Brooksville GMC to repair engine damage caused by a rodent. The Service Advisor didn't contact me with any updates for the first four days. I had to call in, wait on hold, be transferred to caused by a rodent. The Service Advisor didn't contact me with any updates for the first four days. I had to call in, wait on hold, be transferred to different departments, and had to leave voicemails. The advisor would tell me when the repairs would be complete. That would be followed up with another delay in the repairs being finished. (Parts being shipped, mechanics couldn't complete a repair, etc.) The final kick in the head came when I picked up the car. I was charged for several items I did not approve. Since my Advisor was unavailable, I spoke to another Advisor. He called my Advisor, and I was told the charges were correct. A Supervisor got involved. He was unwilling to discuss the extra charges. The bottom line is that I should just pay the bill. If it's on the invoice, then it's correct. There is no opportunity to question Brooksville GMC. Padding an invoice seems to be standard practice. Nobody at the dealership seemed surprised that a customer was complaining about over-charges. Obviously, enough new customers are coming in the doors that Brookville GMC can treat their customers poorly and expect they'll just suck it up. More
