I've lived in Shelbyville for 33 years and I plan to be here for the rest of my life. I spent the first 25 years here as a full-time pastor, then five as a bi-vocational pastor. Now, I'm retired (though I still speak as a fill-in). For the last eight years, I've loved helping people with one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives -- a vehicle purchase. At Newton -- and from me -- you'll get an honest, no-hassle, no-pressure experience. My goal is to serve every customer as if they lived across the street from me! Short story. I was debating trading cars but had only been looking online. The night before I was taking my current car in for a service I looked at the dealership's current inventory, but I saw nothing been looking online. The night before I was taking my current car in for a service I looked at the dealership's current inventory, but I saw nothing that interested me. On the morning of my appointment, I get a text message from Drew Hayes a salesperson with the dealership asking about trading. After leaving my car with the service department I went by to politely say I had already looked and seen nothing they had was of interest to me but did say I am considering a new car. He asked if he could show me something after my car was serviced and I agreed but doubted his luck. My wife and I left and later returned to get my car so again I was politely checking in. He then took me to look at a Buick Enclave. In my head, I was saying I may be 62 but I am not ready to move into a "Buick" with no ego issues here. Drew was not pushy but asked good questions and listened to what I had said during our morning meeting. WhenI I looked at and into the Enclave I was quite surprised and impressed. We test drove it and went over the features. I decided I really did like it. I imagine Drew had reservations about showing me the Enclave. It did check off all the boxes of my needs and wants. So I traded in my current car for the Buick. So to sum it up the entire dealership (service and now sales) has always been professional and listen to me, their customer. These are qualities that are hard to find these days. So thanks Drew for your listening and also for Eli in service for understanding my OCD issues about my cars. More
