Great Experience buying a new Jeep!!! Went to Prestige Auto in Longmont after visiting another deal in Northern Colorado and where our experience was not so good. Prestige strikes again! I love this dealership/ This is my second time buying a car from Leigh and it's crazy how easy he makes it. The worst car buying experience we've ever had This was by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had and would recommend people stay far away from this place. We were literally held host This was by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had and would recommend people stay far away from this place. We were literally held hostage at the place (with them refusing to give the keys back to the car we already owned) until we agreed to a deal with them. When we came to test drive the car, we told them we had limited time because my husband had to go to work, but we wanted to test drive the car, have them tell us what they would give us on a trade-in, and then go home and discuss it and get back to them the next day because we were trying to decide between the car they had and a higher trim model that they didn't have. They told us they needed the keys to the car we owned so they could tell us what they would give us on the trade-in. We gave them the keys to our car and then went to test drive their vehicle. When we returned from the test drive, the salesmen were pushy and kept asking us what they had to do to get us to sign that day. We kept insisting we needed to go home and think about it. We then asked for the keys back to our car so we could leave. The salesman left, acting like he was going to get our keys, but then came back to us with another "deal". This happened five times, each time with us insisting he return our keys. The last time he came back and told us they had taken our car to another lot for detailing, that he couldn't get it back, and that we needed to reach a deal. At that point we looked outside where our car had been parked, and, sure enough, it was gone. We didn't know what to do because by this point my husband was late for work, we had two crying and hungry children with us, and no vehicle, so we were stupid and agreed to a deal. Part of the deal, though, was that they would install a keyless entry system same as the better trim we were considering (not the remote keyless system that the car already had, but the system where you can just touch the door handle and it unlocks. This was important to us because we generally have our hands full with little kids). When they offered to install this on the vehicle for us, we repeatedly questioned them about it to make sure they could do it and they repeatedly assured us that they could. We bought the vehicle and scheduled an appointment to come back a week later for them to install the system and complete some other work order items they had agreed to. They told us when we made the appointment that it would only take one day and we could pick up the vehicle the next morning. When we arrived on the day of the appointment, the service center told us they had no record of our appointment, so we spoke to the salesperson we had worked with and he told us they couldn't do the work there and that he would need to take the vehicle to one of their other dealerships to have the work done. Later that day, he called us and told us he had forgotten to order all the parts that were needed, so they needed to keep the vehicle an extra day. We asked what we were supposed to do without a vehicle, but were told we would need to work it out. It took four days for us to finally get our vehicle back. When we got it back, they had just simply installed another keyless remote system and told us they couldn't do the other type of keyless entry system. Now we're stuck with a vehicle we didn't want and have to fiddle with two remotes to get into the car instead of one. My biggest regret is not calling the police when they refused to give us our original car back. More
