My mother and I came into Smithtown Kia, and were immediately greeted with smiles and welcome. We were assisted by Gerard Rennie and he was extraordinarily kind and patient, as well as knowagable and helpful in finding us what we needed. In coming to look at one car, after seeing it and test driving the vehicle, Gerard helped us check out other vehicles as well, leading to the amazing car we sealed the deal on just a few days later. He was cautious of our budget and needs and found us the best car for the best deal and I couldn't be happier!! It's exactly what I needed. It was a wonderful experienc We just purchased a Sorento at Smithtown Kia. Our salesperson was Gerard Rennie and our finance officer was Gerard Ragan. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We found Mr. Rennie to be a very warm, pleasant, gregarious person who was willing to take the time to thoroughly walk us through the Sorento, answer our questions and address our concerns. He was very knowledgeable in terms of the Sorento’s strengths and limitations and nicely keyed in to our need for a safe vehicle. Mr. Rennie was willing to negotiate the price of the car, but bypassed the "games" and constant "back and forth" we've experienced in previous dealerships. He worked quickly and efficiently, and was always respectful - and we landed on a percentage rate and monthly payment that my wife and I felt was very sensible and fair. We also managed to share a few laughs and exchange brief stories about our families, which lent a human touch to our experience. We found Mr. Rennie, as well as the rest of the sales staff to be extremely friendly and welcoming, without being aggressive or intrusive. We then spent some time with Gerard Ragan who helped us finance the car. We felt Mr. Ragan was genuinely looking at our entire financial picture from a very positive perspective. He created an extremely pleasant and open atmosphere in his office and gave us the sense that he was interested in getting us into the car without any of the the kinds of off-putting behavior we've experienced in previous dealerships. We never felt that he was being judgmental, nor standoffish, and he never harassed us by trying to oversell warranties or protections. He was the contrary - Very pleasant, courteous and warmly conversational. Overall, an excellent experience with these gentlemen at Smithtown Kia - and the Sorento has been a terrific ride. More
