Deceptive Pricing and Disrespectful Treatment I leased a 2025 Kia Sorento PHEV from McGrath Kia of Highland Park on July 26, 2025. The dealership’s own Easy Buy portal advertised this exact vehicle (same a 2025 Kia Sorento PHEV from McGrath Kia of Highland Park on July 26, 2025. The dealership’s own Easy Buy portal advertised this exact vehicle (same VIN) at $46,665, with my trade-in valued at $3,346, and an estimated monthly lease of $653–$683. Instead, my signed lease shows a gross capitalized cost of $62,766.09, only $1,000 trade-in credit, and $2,500 in add-on products (maintenance + wear & tear) slipped into the contract. My monthly payment is $879.71, nearly $200 more than advertised. When I questioned this, the general manager brushed it off as a “misunderstanding.” The entire process was unprofessional and dismissive. Staff ignored my trade-in paperwork, added products without consent, failed to prep or explain my vehicle, and treated me like I wouldn’t notice the discrepancies. As a woman shopping alone, I was talked down to and forced to advocate for every basic detail. This dealership engages in bait-and-switch pricing, forced add-ons, and sexist treatment of customers. Avoid McGrath Kia of Highland Park at all costs. More

Felt like I was getting scammed by a cheesy used car dealer. Flew to Chicago to pick up a certified Kia Carnival. Vehicle has a cracked and misaligned fender which should not be certified accord to K dealer. Flew to Chicago to pick up a certified Kia Carnival. Didn't give me all my paperwork and they took 2 weeks to send in my registration which I need and am still waiting for. Be careful with this dealer! Kia hasn't been much help either. More
