After years of buying and leasing vehicles from Bettens in Muskegon I have finally had enough! They knew there were issues with faulty parts and getting replacement parts for 5 years.(inside info) but fail in Muskegon I have finally had enough! They knew there were issues with faulty parts and getting replacement parts for 5 years.(inside info) but fail to disclose this info to the customer at the time of the sale. Then, when the problems come it's a nightmare getting things repaired. Only because I despise being cheated, decieved or lied to I wouldn't settle without at least getting a loaner which I was told they don't have anymore. I rented a vehicle from enterprise (not a truck). Bettens finally accepted that cost. I had a 2024 silverado high country with a 6.2 motor. I wasn't informed about the known issues until after the sale and during the three-week service. I also wouldn't sign the lease agreement untill they changed to milage from 12k to 15k which I made clear I needed. Glad I read the agreement! Anyway motor problems at 9,000 miles. in forcservuce for 3 weeks. Bettens blames GM. GM blames Bettens and the bank blames bettens! You have to fight to be treated fairly! I've bought many vehicles from bettens over the years for myself, my family, and my company. We've had our share of problems! Two Silverados with transmissions going out at 75k miles. My expense $4,000 each! One silverado the airbag went off for no reading at 25mph. Very fortunate noone was injured! The 2024 high country broke down with 3,000 miles. During the 3 weeks without my truck I had 2 rented vehicles ( not a truck) and finally was given a new truck to use however, after 3,000 miles they shut it down so it wouldn't start and picked it up with a wrecker. Didn't want too many miles on the truck. Too bad for me, the customer! I went back to enterprise. I was informed from within that they've known about these problems for 5 years. I was told there was a lot full of new cars with faulty parts and long waits for replacement parts. I dont have time for this! There's more, but to make a long story short I simply do not trust Bettens of Muskegon any longer. There are many law suits pendung for similar problems. I was very close to taking my own action. At 13,000 MILES the truck failed again. At night on the highway the motor froze up with camshaft bearings blowing out! Eventually, I received a 2025 High Country with 6.2 like what I originally leased. Today I received a recall notice indicating motor issues and faulty parts! No kidding! I am very hesitant to bring this truck back regardless the slight shimmy in the motor or transmission and only 3 000 miles. I had to fight to get another truck, now this one may be a lemon as well! Ive been loyal customer but now feel this doesn't matter! It's no longer about the customer but now just get the sale! I'm not done with this just yet. I'm waiting to see what happens with this last truck. They deducted the milage from the 2024 and placed it on my 2025. This frustration wrnt on for several months I am owed at least a new truck free and clear! Any court would likely find for the customer should I choose that route. Ill see how they handle it this time. I had to call GM several times and the bank holding the paper. Both said they made several calls to Bettens. I'm convinced that's why I was able to get another truck even though the milage driven would be transfered from the 2024 to the 2025. Another jab but not surprised after all I've been thru with bettens. Bettens blame GM and GM blames Betten. The bank blamed Betten as well. I've lost many hours over a 3 month period just trying f to get the truck I originally leased. Because I'm retiring I was gounf to purchase this after the leased matured. Not now! Im sure this truck won't last that long! Sales blame service dept and the service dept blames the sales and management! All the while I'm left wondering about me the one paying for all this! What about the customer? Where is the appreciation for my loyalty over the years? There is none and I feel it! I've never treated my customers like this! More
