I made an appointment for a Toyota recall repair at Corwin. I asked for a customer waiting appointment - not a drop off appointment. It is an hour drive there and another hour home and I didn’t want to have to make the same trip over again to pick the car up the next day. They said it would take an hour to fix. This was confirmed twice to be at 1:15. When I arrived Ian told me it was actually a drop off appointment because AI has been answering the phone and making the appointments incorrectly. Since I had no other way home I had to wait. He would make sure it got done the same day. They were extremely busy judging by the movement in the garage and the number of cars so this was going a bit above and beyond for him. Apparently this has been a big problem because AI is making these appointments incorrectly and setting unrealistic time frames. I then got texts informing me that my car had been inspected and proposing 2000$ of services. Apparently this inspection is mandatory Corwin policy. I never knowingly gave permission for them to do this and did not want it done. It is unclear to me if the Toyota recall repair work I came in for was delayed because of this inspection or not. Again this was said to be SOP and not my tech’s decision. I was told I had to sign off on this or the work I came in for wouldn’t be done. I spent about 4 hours in the waiting area for what AI told me was a one hour appointment. Paperwork said my car was ready at 4:24 but they didn’t bring it out for me until 5 I’m not happy and we never had this sort of problem at Larry Miller where we bought our other vehicle. Ian did get my car done but didn’t communicate any of this to me until afterward. My opinion is that he was so busy doing damage control for what AI had messed up that he had no time to talk. PS. I am home now and my garage door opener is missing. More

I do not find Corwin Toyota of Colorado Springs trustworthy. I paid for a coolant flush and within 5000 miles had a faulty water pump code. Based on the simplicity of this repair I chose to comple trustworthy. I paid for a coolant flush and within 5000 miles had a faulty water pump code. Based on the simplicity of this repair I chose to complete the repair myself. When I removed the water pump I was surprised to find two pieces of the foil seal from an antifreeze jug at the circulation port on the face of the water pump. I'm sure these pieces of foil were intermittently blocking the circulation port and causing the engine code. There has never been coolant added to this car other than the flush and replacement this dealer performed. They shared the remaining engine code with me which was a misfire. Their parts department sold me the OEM water pump and coil packs which I replaced as well correcting the misfire. About the only thing I recommend at this dealership is the parts department. More
