We purchased a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder from Chicago Car Deals in Lake in the Hills, IL, and the experience was completely unacceptable from start to finish. The vehicle was delivered to Wisconsin under the representation that it had been inspected and was fully functional, with all fluids topped off. That was not even close to accurate. Almost immediately, we discovered clear signs the vehicle was not properly prepared for sale, including a quart of oil literally left in the trunk and the vehicle quickly beginning to run rough and loud after delivery. This was not a minor oversight it reflects a serious lack of inspection and honesty about the condition of the vehicle being sold. When we reached out to the dealership to address the issues, instead of professionalism or accountability, we were met with raised voices and hostility. There was no willingness to take responsibility or resolve the situation in a reasonable way. Based on this experience, we strongly believe this vehicle was misrepresented at the time of sale and not properly inspected before being delivered. Buyers should be extremely cautious and prepared to verify everything independently because what was stated and what was delivered were not the same thing. More
