Scott, The worksheet does show $2,300 in the cash due and rebate line, but only $300 of that was due from you. The other $2,000 was coming from Honda in the form of incentives. As both Jason and I explained, Honda requires customer incentives to be listed on the cash-down line, so the worksheet shows $2,300 due, of which $2,000 would be marked "paid by AHM" on the Honda lease contract. Taxes, the Honda incentive, dealer fees, and the wheel locks were all included within that $300 payment and disclosed on the paperwork. To be clear: both figures are correct at the same time. $2,300 is the total shown, made up of $300 from you and $2,000 from Honda. That combination is what Honda's disclosure rules require us to show. The team put together a competitive deal for you: $300 due from you, $300 a month, and that never changed from the original written offer. We've tried several times to walk through the worksheet with you, and I don't see an error in the deal, the paperwork, or our communications. We're not perfect, and when we make mistakes, we do our best to own them and fix them. In this case, I don't believe that happened here. We would have been glad to deliver the vehicle on the agreed terms of $300 from you and $300 a month. I'm sorry we couldn’t make this work.
