I recently purchased on 9/4/2026 a used 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Elevation with 76,739 miles that had mechanical issues from the get-go after driving off the lot that day. I went back on 9/5/2026 and t 1500 Limited Elevation with 76,739 miles that had mechanical issues from the get-go after driving off the lot that day. I went back on 9/5/2026 and told management about the issues. The Carfax report shows that the vehicles engine was checked and serviced on 2/10/2026. I smell gas fumes in the cabin while driving, the engine was idling rough and speed shuddering. I ran a diagnostic with my ODB II scanner afterwards that showed a DTC P0300. I immediately took the vehicle to Jacks Auto repair in Oak Harbor on 9/8/2026 and the ran their own diagnostic scan and did further inspection. The vehicle was leaking fuel from the fuel injection system, fouled spark plugs, damaged plug wires, coils were bad, engine block was not grounded properly, service brake system warning after enabling stayed on. I reported this vehicle with the NHTSA on 9/10/2026 with my dissatisfaction. This makes it my second time when buying a used vehicle with mechanical issues from this dealership. Back story of my first experience was around 2014 to 2016 buying a 2001 Ford F150 Lariat Crew cab where all 8 coil packs had to be replaced after two attempts to hold the dealership responsible at no cost to me. There is no justification for a dealership to be selling any vehicle with known mechanical issues except to make a quick sale and commission. Letters will be going out to Corporate with exhibits attached of invoice for repairs completed at the expense of the consumer. GM says they take pride in their product and reflect to their Mission Statement when taking care of the consumer. To Xavier Cortes, Jeff Tolsma, Marry Barra and Mike MacPhee, I recommend that you address all mechanical issues, recalls and safety issues for new and used vehicles before advertising and selling your products before putting them on the lot.
