Well where do I start? Elder Ford was great about selling me my new truck, John was very professional and polite and made me feel like a valued customer. About 2 weeks after I purchased the truck(2022 F150, gold certified pre owned) I noticed the transmission shifted pretty harsh at times, and there was noticeable clunk from the rear axle. I scheduled an appointment and dropped the truck off( they gave me a loaner on this visit) and waited a few days before checking in. They told me they hadn't gotten to checking out the rear axle noise yet, but they did do a reset on the transmission software. My advisor asked if I could come take a ride with the tech to point out the noise, so I did and he confirmed he heard it as well. I figured I'd hear back from them later that day, or the following day at the latest. Not so much. 2 days later, I was informed that it would probably be 2 weeks before he could diagnose it and to just stay in the loaner and they'd call me when they had a diagnosis. Well later that week I came and picked my truck up because I needed it for some yard work I was doing, and thought I'd be doing them a favor by not risking damage to their loaner truck. Knowing what I know now, I should've just kept it anyway. Fast forward 2 weeks, I called to make another appointment for the rear axle diagnosis and to correct the ongoing transmission issue. I was told they were 2 to 3 weeks out on appointments, so I called Ford customer service and they were able to get me an appointment on July 25th(this past Tuesday). Well I dropped it off, and was told they had no loaners available, but that they'd be able to at least look at the truck by Friday because I told them I needed to have something to drive before I go back to work Monday(I am on vacation this week). My service advisor reached out Wednesday afternoon to inform me they hadn't looked at it yet, but she'd check back in the morning. Well after trying to get a hold of her all morning, she finally responded and told me it would be next week sometime before the tech could look at my truck. Why would you set me an appointment for diagnosis on a specific day, when the truck is just going to sit there for a week? She also told me to expect it to take 1 to 2 weeks every time I bring the truck in for an issue. The service manager is supposed to reach out to me sometime tomorrow, but at this point I have zero expectations that anything will get resolved. If service after the sale is a priority to you, I'd highly recommend doing business elsewhere, because their service department is a joke. More

WORTH THE READ! !! After searching through thousands of vehicles across the nation for my specific model of 2021 Toyota Rav4 XLE, John was able to help get me the BES !! After searching through thousands of vehicles across the nation for my specific model of 2021 Toyota Rav4 XLE, John was able to help get me the BEST price on the market. Unlike most dealerships, I walked out paying the price we agreed upon and not a penny more. John was extremely helpful from start to finish. I was absolutely blown away by the amount of information he provided immediately, and he never once failed to answer any of my questions. Not only did he help me with this vehicle, he went out of his way to pick my mother and I up from the rental car company so we didn’t have to drive home in 2 separate cars. I’ve been to numerous dealerships and none of them compare to my experience with John at Elder Ford of Tampa. This man deserves a raise for his quality of service!!!! As someone who personally drove for 9 hours to purchase a vehicle from this dealership, I truly recommend everyone near or far to check them out. I couldn’t be happier with my vehicle! More

Reinaldo was good and helped communicate 100%, without being too pushy. Liked his personality and straight-to-the-point responses. The actual dealership and upper staff can use some classes in etiquet being too pushy. Liked his personality and straight-to-the-point responses. The actual dealership and upper staff can use some classes in etiquette and “smart xxx commentary” restraint. Also, throw in misogynist restraint classes as well. Overall, for a “slow day” that they said “should be pretty quick and hope you didn’t wait too long”, they took their time strolling around and making unnecessary small talk when I told them I had somewhere to be and was very busy. Response I got was “Well, aren’t we all.” — not really, if you want to compare careers and personal life… but okay. Just stick to focusing on the paperwork and not talking down to me, thanks. More

Our relationship started out Rocky but John and David came around and they put me in a new Ford Bronco Raptor which is probably one of the hardest vehicles to get your hands on right now and they sold it came around and they put me in a new Ford Bronco Raptor which is probably one of the hardest vehicles to get your hands on right now and they sold it to me for much less then they had too because somebody would have paid whatever they asked for this amazing vehicle. It’s rare to find a salesperson who is 100% honest and with morals but John with Elder is a great man that went above and beyond when he didn’t have too, he stayed really late to help me get insurance and because of my lack of insurance it wasn’t easy. If I ever need another new vehicle I will be going back to Elder but since my 2023 Ford Raptor has a lifetime drivetrain warranty I am set for now.
