I had an absolutely terrible experience with Ourisman Honda of Woodbridge and would strongly warn anyone against doing business with this dealership. I found a vehicle I was interested in on their web Honda of Woodbridge and would strongly warn anyone against doing business with this dealership. I found a vehicle I was interested in on their website and submitted an online inquiry. The next day I was contacted by Allen, who sent me a video of the vehicle and repeatedly assured me that the car was in “pristine condition.” Because we would be driving over 2 hours from Maryland to Virginia, I made it very clear that it was imperative we had ALL details about the car before making the trip. I specifically asked multiple times — both over the phone and through text messages — whether there was ANY cosmetic damage to the vehicle since it was used. Allen repeatedly stated that the car was in pristine condition and even bragged about how amazing their detail team was. Later, I spoke with Carl, a manager at the dealership. We negotiated pricing and ultimately agreed on a final number. A purchase order was completed and emailed to me. I informed Allen that I would be bringing a check to purchase the vehicle, and we scheduled an appointment for pickup. Allen even sent me a formal appointment invitation, and we exchanged ETA updates while I was driving to the dealership. After driving more than two hours to get there, Allen greeted my husband and me and walked us over to the vehicle. Within seconds, we immediately noticed paint chips on the front of the car. Then we saw a large scrape with missing paint around the headlight. Once inside the vehicle, I noticed a large 3-inch circular burn mark on the passenger-side visor. There was also a large water stain on the fabric ceiling near the window. At this point, I was already extremely upset because NONE of these issues had been disclosed to me, despite me specifically and repeatedly asking about cosmetic damage. Then we walked around to the back of the vehicle and found two huge dents with missing paint. The dents appeared to have been poorly “repaired” with something that literally looked like spackle and covered over with what looked like white-out paint. I truly could not believe the level of deceit, dishonesty, and unethical behavior demonstrated by this dealership and its employees. What made the situation even worse was Allen’s reaction — instead of apologizing, he was laughing and saying he would get his manager. I told him I did not want to speak to the manager. I could not believe the audacity after repeatedly misleading us and knowing full well that we were serious buyers who had driven a long distance specifically for this vehicle. This was by far the shadiest and most untrustworthy dealership experience I have ever had. Completely dishonest, unethical, and misleading from start to finish. I would avoid this dealership at all costs. More
