Wish the experience was a little better after seeing the reviews prior to entertaining we decided to give Tinney Chevy a try. We were looking for a bigger vehicle for our growing family. So we traded in a v reviews prior to entertaining we decided to give Tinney Chevy a try. We were looking for a bigger vehicle for our growing family. So we traded in a vehicle we had for a used vehicle on the lot. Well took it to another shop to have it looked over and it was bought to our attention that the motor had signs of sludge. At this point the sale was done “as is” and we purchased an extended warranty as well. Well after finding out about the issue the day of purchase we bought it back and it was assumed that the other dealership was upset that they didn’t get the sale and that was the reason for the sludge deal was made up but they pulled us to the shop to show us so we could see that it wasn’t made up. Well after talking to the sales manager best option he had was to give us 6% back and a tank of fuel instead of a quarter of a tank or find other vehicle around the same price but there wasn’t anything else available other than 1 vehicle that had just came in on trade that hadn’t been ran through the shop yet but that was going to cost more so couldn’t help out much with that. After making the sludge deal known sales manager had said that extended warranty should cover of something we’re to happen and that it would be hard to believe that they wouldn’t. Well to check on that I reached out to the extended warranty to see what all our extended warranty covered and the sludge deal was the first thing they said it didn’t cover. It was also mentioned from the sales manager that the price we were looking to spend that you weren’t going to find but so perfect of a vehicle ( felt a little degrading as in if you didn’t have $80k to spend on a vehicle then it wasn’t much that could be done). As well with this issue when we took it on a test drive and we were looking over it we noticed one of the buttons to the seat was missing and the a/c got hot on the test drive so they said they couldn’t do anything about either issue until it was out of their inventory. So we purchased it and they said they would fix the issues. Well after asking when the issues would get fixed we were told a week well I said a week of hot air blowing in the heat wasn’t going to work so the salesman came in on his day off to make sure it got done the next day. Well I reached out to the parts department a week later to see if the button came in and was told it was never ordered so to touch base with the salesman. So I reached out to the salesman and asked a few times when it would come in and it was either no response or “it hasn’t come in yet but I’ll let you know when”. So here we are about 3 weeks of owning and still never got a response on the button so I went to the dealer that manufactured the vehicle and got it in the next day $10 part. We never leave reviews on anything but this experience was unfortunate and just wished things were handled differently. Hope for a better experience for future clientele. More
