I’m incredibly disappointed in the level of service from Gerry Lane Chevrolet. I was sent a 15k mile service reminder, I made my appt, and then arrived just before I was scheduled. I was greeted, handed Gerry Lane Chevrolet. I was sent a 15k mile service reminder, I made my appt, and then arrived just before I was scheduled. I was greeted, handed my keys off, and went to the waiting area. I then received an email with an estimate of $28.56 which was less than I expected and I was happy to wait as long as necessary. An hour and 10min later I get a text with a link to a list of services that were supposedly based on a technician’s inspection of my truck. At this point I went and found Rebekah and asked her to just do whatever Chevrolet suggests doing at the 15k mile mark and no more than that—that was the purpose of my visit to check the boxes in a timely fashion so when I sell the vehicle down the line there will be an impeccable service record. She says she understands, no problem, and I go back to wait. Another hour and a half goes by and I’m told it’s ready. I’m handed a 7 page bill and asked to sign it. The document didn’t list what was done, what the prices of parts or labor were, just a lot of zeros right until the end with the total….$406.44. I was Shocked. I asked for an itemized bill to sign as I didn’t feel comfortable signing a document with no details—it felt like signing a blank check. But I got HEAVY pushback at my request. “Just sign it….sir.” I said no and with a sigh she called over her “manager” who was just the same lady who claimed to know just what I wanted but charged me over 1,300% more than the estimate. What a xxxxing scam!!! I was livid. But, I paid because I’d been there for over 3 hours and I didn’t have it in me. I got in my truck and my xxxxxxx fuel filter hadn’t been changed. It’s sure as xxxx listed on the itemized bill. Again, what an incredibly elaborate scam!! I will never again do business of Any kind with a Gerry Lane dealership. Furthermore, I will be sharing my experience with my family and friends. In a time where the car buyer has so very little power (based on demand and inventory levels) it seems obvious that the service dept side of the operation is where you can actually build a bit of solidarity with your customers. Nope! Instead I got a completely transactional experience in which I still felt powerless and abused. What a shame. More

I found Gerry Lane Chevrolet through the official Chevy website while searching for a lease deal from Houston, and really hoped and was optimistic to make a deal with them. I visited their website and iden website while searching for a lease deal from Houston, and really hoped and was optimistic to make a deal with them. I visited their website and identified two cars of interest. My initial contact was with Tia, who was courteous and helpful. She explained that someone would follow up to discuss the deals. After some delay, Mario reached out, he was also polite and told me he would call by end of day Friday. However, both Tia and Mario insisted they needed to run my credit before giving me an accurate lease estimate, and I refused that of course. I found this unusual, as I have leased and purchased four cars before and always received estimates upfront, only authorizing a hard credit pull once I agreed on terms. I have high credit, and I’ve never had issues where the credit check changed the quoted numbers, not even slightly! While waiting to hear back, I explored offers from other nearby dealerships. Several gave me competitive deals, though the exact color I preferred was only available at Gerry Lane. Out of fairness and commitment to my first contact, I decided to hold off on those other deals and wait for Gerry Lane. When I hadn’t heard back by Saturday morning, I called Mario, who apologized for the delay, saying they were busy with in-store customers. He informed me that one of the cars was sold but confirmed the other was still available. He provided a lease estimate after applying the Costco and Educator incentives I qualified for. The numbers were competitive, not unmatched, but fair, so to respect my commitment to him I agreed on that estimate, and they called me few minutes later and they submitted an official credit application. My family and I were preparing for the 4-hour drive to Baton Rouge, with my daughters excitedly preparing for the trip and the new car. Just as we were about to leave, the dealership called to “confirm” the deal, only to shock me with numbers $150–$200 higher per month than what Mario originally quoted. There was no reasonable explanation for this jump, especially not related to my credit. I was told someone from finance would check with Mario and call me back. Hours passed, and no one called. I followed up myself and was told by Mario that they can’t honor the estimate they committed to and that he had assumed someone from finance had already updated me. By the end of Saturday, no one followed up, and it was clear they had dropped the ball. This was an incredibly disappointing experience for me and my family, from what suppose to be a “family-owned” dealership. Gerry Lane Chevrolet came across as unprofessional and disorganized. Perhaps they are still learning how to manage remote leasing or prioritize only local, in-store buyers, but as a customer, I was left feeling disregarded and misled, especially after they ran a hard credit pull and then backed out of the deal. While Tia and Mario were polite, but the overall experience was unacceptable and unprofessional, no manager or finance person, as of this moment, even tried to reach out to me from their dealership. If you’re considering leasing remotely from Gerry Lane, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. For local, in-store purchases, your experience may differ, but for remote lease customers, I suggest stay away from this dealership saving your time, energy, and credit score. More

I recently purchased a Tahoe from Gerry Lane Chevrolet, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was smooth, stress-free, and actually enjoyable—somethi and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was smooth, stress-free, and actually enjoyable—something I never thought I’d say about buying a vehicle. The real star of the show was my salesman, Daniel Lewis. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of my time. He listened to exactly what I was looking for, walked me through my options without any pressure, and handled every detail with a level of efficiency that’s rare these days. It honestly felt like he was more of a trusted advisor than a salesperson. Thanks to him and the team at Gerry Lane Chevrolet, the process was quick, seamless, and completely hassle-free. He made sure I was comfortable with every step and truly went above and beyond to deliver exceptional service. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers. Gerry Lane Chevrolet and Mr. Lewis have earned a lifelong customer. If you’re in the market for a vehicle, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time anywhere else. More

Marco and crew seemed determine to confirm every negative stereotype about car dealers. We had an agreement worked out ahead of time by email and only should have had to negotiate the value of a trade-in, stereotype about car dealers. We had an agreement worked out ahead of time by email and only should have had to negotiate the value of a trade-in, sign the paperwork and be gone. The first paperwork they presented substantially deviated from the prior agreement. No explanation for the discrepancy was given. Finally at closing time we were told they would honor that agreement and deliver the car. Over the following two weeks, I was presented a proposal that double charged for an item, quibbled over credits they had previously agreed to in writing and was sent a contract with a bottom line that was more than we owed. Finally, I saw a document that conformed to the email agreement we had prior to going there. A delivery date and time was set. But the adjusted contract was never sent and they ghosted us, leaving us sitting there waiting at the agreed upon delivery time. When finally someone responded, the previously mentioned salesperson said "that unit is no longer available" I asked him to return the unauthorized deposit they had taken from my credit card points. Over the ensuing week, I emailed 4 times, verbally asked twice and texted to get that returned to me. I finally had to spend a few hours getting the credit card to reverse it. We are still dealing with untangling the ONStar, subscription radio and other accounts that were put in our name for a vehicle we never saw. More

We had an agreement and nothing was needed from me to hold truck til I could make 2 day drive to complete transaction. I drove 600 miles and found out they sold it to someone else before I could get the hold truck til I could make 2 day drive to complete transaction. I drove 600 miles and found out they sold it to someone else before I could get there. They sold it Saturday morning and didn't bother to tell me til 430pm after I had been driving at least another 5 hours. Their attitude about the situation seemed to be tough luck, nothing we can do about it. They don't seem to care and won't call me to talk about it. I guess I was expecting too much for them to honor our agreement and treat a potential customer with a little respect. More
