I had such a positive experience with this service team from beginning to end. Ty, Assistant Service Manager, welcomed me and made me feel comfortable through the process. He introduced me to Carlo, my technician who I truly can’t say enough good things about! His communication was consistent the entire time, and I never felt left wondering what was going on with my vehicle. THANK YOU, CARLO! I also worked with Kitty, Assistant Service Manager, who was incredibly kind and patient. No pressure, no confusion, just clear communication, transparency, and support the whole way through. Beware of the service department. 1 star is too much to give but is the only option. Do not take your car to Fred Anderson Kia as you will likely be charged for things you do not ask 1 star is too much to give but is the only option. Do not take your car to Fred Anderson Kia as you will likely be charged for things you do not ask for especially after a service recall. I took my car in for an emissions campaign ECM recall, and immediately when I left the parking lot started having shifting issues with the TCM or transmission. I took my car back to have it looked at as obviously something went wrong with the ECM update or they needed to perform an extra transmission relearn. Now they’re charging me diagnostic fees when I never had a problem in the 10 years I’ve drove the car up until the day I had the ECM updated. They claim the issue has nothing to do with the update and obviously they couldn’t duplicate either even though I shared a video with them showing the issue. Now they’re charging me even though they say nothing is wrong, but oh by the way, they did do a TCM relearn. Funny how that works huh! Never again will I take my car to a Kia dealer in Greer. There is no reason I should be charged for diagnostics related to a recall issue. If it weren’t for the recall, I would’ve never taken my car in to begin with because it had no issues. They claim it’s not related and that’s why I’m charged. Complete xx. Do better Kia! More
